7 nights onboard the Red Sea RE Aggressor + up to 25 dives
Join Blue Planet for another week of incredible diving in the Red Sea! Our “Deep South” itinerary will have us exploring the stunning reefs and beautiful swim-through caves of the less-visited southern Red Sea. And for those who want to explore Egypt’s historical sites, we can offer a post-liveaboard adventure to take in the must-see attractions in Luxor, Cairo and beyond.
Beneath the crystal blue surface of the Red Sea lies a rich and diverse ecosystem just waiting to be explored. Located between Africa and Asia, the warm tropical waters are home to more than 1100 species of fish, 200 species of hard and soft corals and 44 species of shark. This rich diversity is in part due to the expanse of coral reef that extends along its coastline.
The Red Sea is a unique marine paradise that offers some of the most spectacular diving in the world. With miles of beautiful coral reef, numerous wrecks and a vast array of marine life: from brightly colored nudibranchs and tropical fish, to large pelagics such as oceanic white tips and hammerheads, there really is something for everyone!
Minimum dive certification/experience: PADI Open Water Diver required. PADI Enriched Air/Nitrox Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications strongly recommended (can be completed on trip). The minimum age to scuba dive in the Red Sea is 15 years of age.
The Deep South Egypt itinerary encompasses a mixture of 40% island drift diving from the skiffs at Rocky Island and Zabargad Island and other Habili reefs that do not break the surface of the water, and 60% protected coral reef and cave diving in the St John and Fury Shoals area from the back of the RE Aggressor mothership. In between dives, you may snorkel, explore secluded beaches or just relax with a cold drink and midmorning/mid afternoon snack. You may dive up to 3-5 dives per day including night diving when possible. (subject to change due to weather conditions).
