About this trip

Ever wandered what it like for the day and life of the Amish.  Then come join us for a day and take a guided tour.   You will learn  all of the history, traditions and customs of the Amish through the eyes of an experienced tour guide (most likely Kathy, with over 20 years of experience). Enjoy hearing about the customs of courtship and marriage, church services, funeral practices and much more. Kathy will share many heart warming stories of experiences she has had  amongst her Amish friends and neighbors. you will have the chance to meet Amish families as we stop at their farm yards to take a look at the goods they may have for sale. We'll most likely stop at a Bakery or Candy Shop, possibly a quilt shop or wood working shop and who knows what else. Your Wisconsin Amish tour will begin and conclude at our gift shops.

We will leave the Onalaska American Legion at 8 am and head to  the Fort McCoy history center where you will see a great amount of military history.   From there we will head to Cashton for our 10 o'clock 2 hour Amish tour.  After our tour  enjoy the trip through the rolling hills of the Driftless area with next stop is a stop a short distance down the road, the Westby creamery (part of the wine and cheese trail), but don't fill up on cheese because our next stop is in Viroqua at the driftless café.   Just a short distance down the road we will be stopping for a free wine tasting at the Vernon vinards (also part of the wine and cheese trail).
