Why we do this - What we have for you...
This is our 2nd year leading this trip to our heart home land. This is our 20th year together offering artistic projects, songs, circles, ceremonies, sound healing, & celebrations all over the world in little ways.. We want to grow this as we have grown, as our daughter has grown, it is time to ripple out the love further, all beings have the innate capacity to love to thrive, to be happy, to be ok with the times that are hard. We are grateful to have gathered the tools, wisdom and community to be able to offer exceptional learning and experiences for people. This retreat is for singles and couples.. No matter where we are in life we have infinite portals of relationship awaiting our attention. We are here to serve.. Please reach out if you have any questions.
What’s included
- Ayurvedic Catering3 meals a day. LOcal, organic, sustainable, mostly vegetarian, some cheese/ fish options. Diet restrictions considered, let us know! Our Chef Jessica Quinn is truly magickal!
- 2-3 daily classesAt least two movement classes daily (many styles) meditation, neurolinguistic processing, compassionate communication, sound science & healing, Hawaiian spirituality, hula, & more..
- field trip transportThere is a very special beach on Maui where you can dive underwater and hear the song of the whales during this season (jan-apr). We will have a special full day outing to this special place.
- local Kahuna classhawaiian spiritual teacher will guest teach one day and come to "talk story", chant, pray and sing in the indigenous way. We had him w/ us last year. WOW. Deep learning & inspiration.
- Organic Farm & GardeningTour of the property, introduction to sustainable techniques, questions fielded, inspiration guaranteed. We will also largely eat produce from the farm during our stay here.

2/13 - Connecting w/ the Earth, our environment, our selves
7a - meditation in Villa (w/view of sunrise - sunrise =654am which is 2 hours earlier than here - you can come early for first sunrise moments - its worth it!)
8am - light breakfast foods & tea, self serve in dining room (will b everyday @this time)
830-1130 - Tantrik Philosophy/ worldview & Yogasana in Yoga Room & welcome/ "talk story" Hawa'iian style w/ kahuna Kale
1130 - brunch
1230- 4 - free time - swim, hot tub, sauna, hammock, hike, &/or Guided tour the Gardens!
4-530 - yogasana & pranayama
530p - dinner
7p - sound bath / meditation / self connection practices
2/14 - Connecting w/ Our Selves & One Another
7a - meditation & self blessing in villa

8am - (in yoga room) meditation, philosophy, writing

7p - PARTY YOGA & games w/ Nona Fender & the Benders
2/17 - BEACH DAY!
8am - breakfast
9am - practices
1030am - depart for Little Beach - (p/u to go lunch in dining**) best body surfing, whales & babies & turtles hang out nearby, good for snorkeling, nude beach, drum circle on Sundays...FUN! (the ultimate Maui/ hippie experience - the sun sets on this side of the island so we stay for sunset & head back home for dinner)
**also, we will probably stop in Paia on the way out for beach snacks
2/18 - Integration Day & departure from Hale Akua
7am - Sunrise meditation
8am - breakfast
9-1130 - Asana for Integration & circle shares
12n - lunch & depart***
***i suggest stopping in Paia on your way out! Great shopping, restaurants & beach. We will head there as soon as we clear w/ the venue. Also, Baldwin Beach - better swimming than Paia Bay is just walking distance from there.
We will be staying on Maui a couple of days longer & arriving a few days earlier - if you decide to and want referrals of where to go, let us know!
