About this trip

We depart from your accommodation or  Manifa Travel office at 08:30 am by Minivan to Ban Hat Kor about 1 hour. From there we start kayak on the Nam Ou River. We enjoy a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside and see a wonderful nature built limestone cliffs called Pha Aen on the way. 3 hours kayaking take us to the first destination the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers, Pak Ou.

Upon arrival at Pak Ou, we visit the famous Pak Ou Caves – two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. Exploring the caves about 30 minutes, we start the second course of the kayaking on the Mekong River. We paddle down the Mekong for 30 minutes until we ended our Kayak at Manifa Elephant Camp. There we enjoy a beautiful buffet style lunch at the restaurant – overlooking the Mekong River.

After Lunch we drive back to Luang Prabang. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang hai, where the local rice wine is produced.  At about 2:30 PM, we go back to your accommodation or city center.

独学で日本語を習得したトゥーンさんの説明はわかりやすかったです。ラオスのお参りの仕方や生活スタイルの説明も興味深いものでした。またルアンパバーンに行く時はガイドをお願いしたいと思います。
We had an exceptional and wonderful experience, that was planned and organized by Manifa Travel, according our requests. The elephant camp was truly moving, as the elephants are free to roam around and receive a lot of food and affection. Our interaction with the elephants was great especially for our children. Also, the accommodation in the camp (private bungalows with a great river view) and the food (Yami!) were beyond our expectations. Our other activities were exiting and well organized, including the boat on the Mekong river, the bicycle ride, the kayaking and the track in the fields. Our guide (Mr. Wong) was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs and was fluent in English. We highly recommend Manifa Travel and we are thankful for this great experience.
