Pick up from your accommodation between 07:45 – 08:30 AM, we then embark a boat trip to Pak Ou Cavesabout 1 and half hours on the Mekong River, which gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as the mysterious nature. On the way we will visit Ban Xang Hai (Whisky Village), where the local rice wine is produced. Then we continue boat trip until Pak Ou. Pak Ou Caves are two linked caves crammed with thousand of lacquered Buddha Status of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. After 40 min staying at caves, the boat trip takes us to MANIFA ELEPHANT CAMP and we enjoy a beautiful buffet style lunch at the restaurant – overlooking the Mekong river.

At about 1 PM, we start “HALF DAY – INTRODUCTION PROGRAM“. After a few important introductions and a brief orientation, you will get straight into interacting with the manifa elephants and start the mahout training program – get used to being close to and comfortable with one of the 17 elephants – share in the experience of cruelty free riding (optional bareneck or howdah) – join in the snacktime feeding and have the option of splashing around in the water with the elephants during one of their many daily bath time sessions. The program last in the late afternoon. In the end, we take elephants to their resident bamboo forests. We return to the city between 4:00-5:00 PM.
