About your trip

This 6-day backpacking journey takes you deep into the heart of Pakistan’s mountains, from the bustling capital of Islamabad to the legendary Fairy Meadows, one of the world’s most beautiful alpine plateaus. Designed for those seeking adventure, community, and raw connection with nature, the trip balances thrilling treks, cultural encounters, and slow evenings under starlit skies.

Our journey begins in Islamabad, where travelers gather to meet their crew before setting off along the iconic Karakoram Highway. The road winds past dramatic river valleys, hanging glaciers, and towering peaks, with overnight stops along the way to break the journey and take in the views. The highlight of the adventure comes as we trade wheels for boots, trekking up to Fairy Meadows—a high-altitude haven facing the mighty Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain on Earth.

At Fairy Meadows, days are spent exploring alpine trails, playing games in open fields, or simply resting with the mountains as our backdrop. There’s time to paint, share stories, connect with locals, or hike further toward Beyal Camp for closer views of the summit. Evenings bring the warmth of bonfires, hearty meals, and the glow of starlight over the snow-covered giant. The trip concludes with a descent back to Raikot and a return drive to Islamabad, hearts full from days spent in one of the most breathtaking corners of the world.

Who's Ready to Join Our Epic Adventure

Alright, my fellow explorers, this trip is designed for independent and adventurous spirits! To ensure everyone has the best and safest experience, this particular journey is open to travelers aged 18 and above.

If you're 18+, have a thirst for discovery, love incredible landscapes, are ready to immerse yourself in a vibrant culture, and don't mind a bit of adventure (like our hikes and jeep rides!), then you are the perfect fit for this trip! Get ready for unforgettable memories with a fantastic group!

Altitude Acclimatization: A Quick Guide

We're heading to some incredible high-altitude area. While our itinerary is designed for gradual acclimatization, here are the essentials to stay comfortable:

  • Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! Drink plenty of water.

  • Take it Slow: No rushing, especially on arrival and during ascents.

  • Listen to Your Body: Mild symptoms like headache or fatigue are common. If you feel unwell, tell your Trip Leader immediately.

  • We're Prepared: For your safety, we will be carrying portable oxygen canisters.

  • Consult Your Doctor: Discuss any concerns or preventative medication (like Diamox) with your physician beforehand.

A detailed guide with more tips and information will be provided in your comprehensive Trip Handbook.

Wi-Fi & Connectivity: Embrace the Unplug

While you'll have good connectivity in capital city Islamabad, be prepared for limited to no Wi-Fi or phone signal once we venture deep into the northern mountain regions of Fairy Meadows.

This is part of the magic of exploring Pakistan's remote wilderness—a chance to truly unplug, connect with nature, and immerse yourself fully in the experience. We recommend informing loved ones that you may be out of touch for periods.

For your convenience: Our guide already carries both city and mountain SIM cards and can share internet access when and where available. Alternatively, you can purchase an eSIM for broader coverage.

Our Shared Commitment to an Amazing Trip

To ensure everyone has an incredible and safe experience on this adventure, it's important that we're all on the same page regarding behavior.

Your trip leader reserve the right to cancel a booking or remove any traveler from the trip at any point if their actions, inactions, communication, or any other behavior are deemed a security concern, or if they negatively impact the group dynamic or overall safety of the trip.

If such a situation arises, please understand that no refund or compensation will be provided. Furthermore, future travel services with us may not be offered.

This policy is in place to protect the well-being and enjoyment of every single person on this trip. Let's make this an unforgettable adventure for all the right reasons!

Change of Itinerary

We do our best to follow the planned itinerary—but this is an adventure trip, and sometimes, plans need to shift.

🌦 Flexibility is Key

Changes may happen due to things beyond our control—like weather, road conditions, flight delays, or political updates. If something needs to be adjusted, we’ll keep you informed and make sure you’re never left in the dark.

🧭 Who Makes the Final Call?

While we may chat with the group about possible changes, the final decision will be made by your host and trip leader. Rest assured, every decision will be made with the safety, comfort, and best interest of the group in mind.

✈️ Flight Cancellations

If a flight is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, we may need to switch to road travel instead. We’ll always aim to include as much of the experience as possible—but please understand that some stops or activities might need to be skipped.

This is part of what makes adventure travel exciting—it’s unpredictable, and it requires a little flexibility. But no matter what, we promise to keep the spirit of the journey alive and make it memorable.

Claims and Feedback

We want your trip to be absolutely perfect! If you have any concerns or a complaint during our adventure, please immediately inform our Trip Leader. They are there to help and will do their best to resolve the issue or find a suitable alternative so you can get back to enjoying your trip.

Cancellation by Traveller

We get it—plans can change. If something comes up and you need to cancel your trip, here’s how our cancellation policy works:

🗓 If You Cancel More Than 90 Days Before the Trip

  • You’ll get a full refund of everything except the Down Payment.

  • Please note: we can only offer this refund if your cancellation is made more than 72 hours after we confirmed your booking.

🕒 If You Cancel Within 90 Days of the Trip

  • We’re not able to offer a refund at this point.

  • All payments, including the Down Payment and any additional amounts paid, will be non-refundable.

🚫 If You Don’t Show Up, Arrive Late, or Leave Early

  • Unfortunately, we can’t offer any refunds for missed parts of the trip or unused services once the trip has started.

💸 Third-Party Charges & Currency

  • If hotels, airlines, or other service providers charge fees for your cancellation, those will be deducted from your refund.

  • Refunds are made in the same currency you paid in. If the exchange rate has changed, your refund in your local currency might be a bit more or less—we can’t control that part.

🤝 Life Happens—We Get It

If you’re dealing with a serious issue like a medical emergency or visa rejection, let us know. While we can’t promise a refund, we may be able to:

  • Let you transfer your booking to someone else, or

🧳 Travel Insurance is a Must

We highly recommend getting travel insurance that covers cancellations, delays, and emergencies. It gives you peace of mind—and protects your investment too.

Cancellation by Operator

While it’s rare, there may be situations where we need to cancel a trip. Here’s what you need to know:

🗓 If We Cancel More Than 60 Days Before the Trip

  • You’ll have the option to either:

    • Transfer your payments (including your Down Payment) to a new trip date, or

    • Receive a full refund of everything you’ve paid.

However, we’re not responsible for any extra expenses you may have already paid for on your own—like visa fees, vaccinations, travel insurance costs, currency exchange losses, or non-refundable flights.

🌪 If We Cancel Due to a Force Majeure Event (Things Outside Our Control)

Sometimes, unexpected things happen that are out of anyone’s hands—like:

  • Natural disasters (floods, fires, earthquakes, storms)

  • Health emergencies (like pandemics or public safety threats)

  • War, civil unrest, terrorist acts

  • Government restrictions or emergency orders

  • Strikes, power outages, or transportation shutdowns

In these rare cases, we’ll:

  • Reschedule your trip to a future date, and
