About this trip

Gather together for an unforgettable and deeply nourishing yoga retreat. This retreat held at Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma will be a wonderful way to step away from the world and immerse yourself in the practice of yoga and mindfulness.  This getaway will be a perfect way to deepen your practice and better understand the foundations and principles that make up the therapeutic yoga discipline, helping you learn how to move with more awareness and safety whether it's in your day to day life or other yoga classes.

In addition to daily yoga practices, other offerings will include a breathwork journey experience, soundbath, chanting and meditation. The hope is all yogis will walk away from the weekend feeling rested, recharged and centered, with a whole new awareness of how one moves throughout their world.

Accommodations include lovely rustic cabins.  Two, sometimes three, yogis will share a cabin and each cabin has its own private bathroom. Five farm to table meals will be served during our weekend together.  There'll be enough free time to journal, nap, or walk through the beautiful labyrinth. Other amenities include an honor bar for snacks and drinks, and a pool and a hot tub.

Therapeutic yoga is a process of meeting the yogi where they are, of empowering individuals by helping increase self-awareness and learning how to work within one's own strengths and limitations. The goals of this practice can include reducing or eliminating symptoms that cause suffering while improving foundation and function. All ages, bodies, and skill levels welcome.  Yes, you can come if you’ve never done yoga before!

About your organizer

Originally starting her career as a high school biology teacher, Jill shifted her presence from the classroom to the yoga studio. After a bout with cancer, Jill realized the yoga she'd been practicing could help with pain management, mood regulation, and overall strength and wellbeing. Yoga became an anchor in her life, and her passion for yoga blossomed as her drive to teach persisted. Jill's focus in her classes is to cultivate a healing environment and empower students to become more connected with their bodies and minds from a kind, compassionate, and humorous perspective. After her first certification from the White Lotus Foundation, Jill expanded her discipline to teach therapeutic yoga. Her teaching style is informed by Harvey Deutch and received multiple advanced training certifications under his mentorship and still works with him on various retreats and trainings. After over 1,000 hours of training, Jill became a Certified Yoga Therapist in 2020.
