Birdwatchers and wildlife photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to join us as we spot the beautiful birds over the course of this 2-hour walking and driving trip where we will explore the Craggy Gardens area along the Blue Ridge Parkway in western N.C.
We will be on the lookout for various species of migrating Warblers, Flycatchers, Raptors, Tanagers and Swifts as well as year round favorites like Cardinals, Juncos, Ravens, Wrens, Finches, and Nuthatches.
Meetup time is 9:30 AM sharp . Directions to the exact meetup location at Craggy Gardens will be provided in your booking conformation email.
Will will meet at 9:30 AM sharp and spend about an hour walking along the mountain top trail in the Craggy Pinnacle area search of interesting migrating birds.
Then we will get in our cars and form a caravan to head south/ west along the Blue Ridge Parkway stopping at the Craggy Gardens Picnic area to bird for about 30 minutes.
We will then continue on to drive south/ west along the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Craven Gap trailhead for a 45 min hike to see what we can find at the lower elevations.
For your safety & peace of mind, social distancing will be practiced throughout the duration of this tour.
