About this trip

A sumptuous, yoga-filled Fall escape to the deep quiet of the Calistoga hills, hot tub-ready and swooning aplenty.

Fall yoga escape weekend

The perfect Fall yoga pop-up weekend getaway? You might say that.

I was delighted to grab a last-minute weekend slot at our long-beloved Mayacamas Ranch in Calistoga, deep in the heart of wine country, for a Fall yoga escape weekend, happening October 13-15, complete with yoga (three sessions total), fantastic food, saltwater pool and hot tub time, deep quiet, and views to make you swoon.

And it’s happening soon! Less than two months away. Sign up ASAP to grab your spot.

Prices include all meals, classes, meditations, fire-pit stories, star-gazing and hot tub lounging. BYO swooning. You in? It's going to be sumptuous.

Much love,

One of the Bay Area's premier yoga instructors *and* most provocative writers, Mark has been leading fiery Vinyasa classes, workshops and retreats in SF and around the world (and, most recently, via Zoom) since 1999. He's also a father, an author and was, for more than 20 years, an award-winning columnist at the SF Chronicle and SFGate.com (currently excommunicado). He was raised by long-eyelashed callipygian wood nymphs and spoon fed dark chocolate, raw pomegranate seeds, Shaiva Tantra mantras and artisan bourbon until he could fly.

Mark possesses a keen ability to not only hold space, but significantly develop the container of energy for yoga practitioners. The style can best be described a devotional moving meditation which unfolds as a fluid, seamless dance wherein prana is explored, moved and becomes more discernible. The retreat was a great well of replenishment for not only my personal practice, but also inspiring for own my teachings. I particularly appreciated the morning mediation space to begin my day. Additionally, the inclusion of astrological shamanistic bodywork added yet another layer of breadth & depth to this amazing summer weekend retreat. ~ Loren Altura Yoga
