Traveling to the outskirts of San Miguel, we will mount horses for a guided horseback through the campo's gorgeous hills and canyons. After a few hours, we will return to the Ranch to help la familia prepare a rustic lunch to enjoy together.

This excursion will take approximately 5 hours, 9 am - 1 pm. Transportation is included, and gratuity is customary to your caballero. This excursion can only accommodate 20 people per day,  so we will split our group into two if necessary and juggle Days 3 and 5.

A day unlike any other! San Miguel's natural underground water systems are known to extend across the hot volcanic crystals deep below the Earth's surface thereby heating the water to an unusually warm and delightful temperature. Occurring as natural hot springs across the township, humanity has manipulated this natural resource over the years into the form of unique pools and tunnels for public recreation and enjoyment.

For this excursion, we will coach you through securing your own local taxi (in Spanish, so that you can do it whenever you wish at a later time). Lunch will be hosted in situ, so all you need do is bring a towel, swimsuit, and sunscreen.

The thermal waters are the cure all for aching elements and wondrous to the spirit for every age.

Ecotourism and adventure at it's best, sorry but zip lining is only available to those over five years old with a giant heap of adrenaline! Enjoy zip lining across the ridges or walking on the canyon floor with an expert scientist who can point out the unique flora indigenous to the area.

After the rush, we will enjoy one of San Miguel's oldest and most ubiquitous restaurants where miracles really do happen :)

UNAM archaeologist tour of Cañada de la Virgen ancient ruins! This is a remarkable opportunity followed by a private and luxurious asada (BBQ) in nature at the exclusive Los Encinos del Rancho.

On our last day, we offer walking tours of the famous Mercado filled with fruits, vegetables, flowers, and hand-made traditional arts. This is an excellent place to practice Spanish skills and select unique souvenirs to bring home. Alternatively, you may want to use this time to visit La Fabrica la Aurora, the culture design and art center. Also keep in mind the exquisite boutiques in town filled with local and upscale treasures (we are happy to give personal recs depending on what you're looking for!). This is a town filled with artists and makers, so make yourself at home!

That evening, we'll indulge at our Farewell Fiesta, located at a private residence five minutes from town affectionately named El Ranchito. We hope this will be the perfect cap to a perfect week! Come join us!
