This year, the alps are calling…. And we are answering! Be a part of our FIRST family camp in Austria. We’ll have space for 16 families at the most family-friendly resort possible. With everyone on-site from a kids club, indoor and outdoor pools, daily programming and all breakfasts and dinners daily included- it’s hard to think of what more could be on offer.

We’ll be hiking to panoramic views, enjoying cute village life, exploring Salzburg in a way that would make the Von Trapps proud, hitting up alpine slides and everything else in between!

Breakfast is on your own time this morning. 

Today, we will have an optional opportunity for those wanting to visit the famous mountain Nazi enclave, Eagles Nest. This is a 2+ drive from the resort, and will be an additional cost for a guided experience during the visit. (This group will depart at 8am and return at 5pm.)

For those that are happy to stay on-site and take advantage of the resort- they’ll have the day enjoy the pools and activities, or join one of the hotel’s guided hikes into the surrounding mountains. 

Dinner tonight will be at 7pm, and, after, we’ll get together for family trivia and games, with a little extra Americana thrown in to celebrate the Fourth of July. 

Today is the day! Plan to meet us at the Galtenberg Family Resort this afternoon by 4pm. 

When you arrive, you’ll have some time to get settled before things kick off this evening and kids can start playing and exploring the facilities at the property. 

Once everyone has arrived, we’ll have our Welcome Dinner together at 7pm. An easy welcome to get to say hello to everyone and end a busy day of travel without a lot of added hassle. 

After breakfast, we’re heading up the mountain!

We’ll take the gondola up to Wiedersberger Horn and spend the morning on a guided panoramic hike, with incredible views across the Tyrolean Alps.

After lunch, we’ll spend the afternoon at Lauserland, the mountaintop adventure park, with plenty  for the kids to explore- plus a ride on the Lauser-Sauser Alpine Coaster!

Dinner this evening is on your own back at the resort or on your own at a restaurant in town.

Mahjong will meet up for mahjong this evening. Come ready to play or just sit and yap! All are welcome- regardless of level. 

Today is intentionally flexible- but with lots of good options to find the best fit for your family. 

Head into Innsbruck to explore on your own, wander out wide the hotel’s guides for a hike, use your pass to explore another gondola route up into the mountains for your own adventure… or stay at the resort to enjoy activities there. 

Plan to get cleaned up and ready to head out for a night on the town. Dinner tonight will be as a group at a local restaurant. 

We’re off to Salzburg!

This morning, plan to head out around 8am to make the most a day in Salzburg. The drive is just at 2 hours, so we’ll aim to arrive in time to to explore and have lunch on your own. Have lunch, wander the old town, shop, find some Mozart chocolates, or just enjoy one of Europe’s prettiest cities.

Afterwards, we’ll meet for a private Sound of Music tour! Our own bus to take us around and see the sites from the famous movie- complete with apple strudel to finish the adventure, 

Dinner is on your own this evening at the resort or in town.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel today, we’ll head out together for our first taste of the Austrian Alps with a guided family hike through the beautiful Alpbachtal countryside.. 

We’ll stop along the way for a simple Alpine picnic with tea, cakes and treats before making our way back to the hotel. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy the pools, spa, kids activities and everything Galtenberg has to offer.

In the afternoon, we’ll set up mahjong for the moms while the kids and dads make the most of Galtenberg. 

That evening, we’ll all come back together for our Farewell Dinner! Come prepared for some family entertainment to enjoy together to wrap up our time together.

Relax over one last breakfast at Galtenberg before we say goodbye and begin our journeys home.
