This camp is hands down one of the most extraordinary trips I’ve ever taken. The feeling of community and sharing of knowledge is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I learned bike mechanics, met exceptional women, ate delicious food, rode miles I thought I couldn’t, and felt encouraged, empowered, and engaged every minute of every day. Katherine, Libby, Lindsay, Paige, Casey, and Serena have come together and built something truly amazing. You owe it to yourself to go to this camp. You deserve it. And I promise you will never ever forget how amazing you feel afterwards.

This camp was a phenomenal experience that I would highly recommend for women at all levels. Casey, Paige, and Serena were amazing instructors who made sure we learned in a safe and experiential learning environment. I feel so confident working on my bike and going on rides without being worried about being stranded with a flat tire or broken chain. I met so many truly awesome women and made new friends while learning new skills on my bike and on the trail. Great people, great food, great riding and I’m leaving with a great amount of knowledge and pride. I loved this camp and was sad when it was over!

The gravel camp x bike mechanic school was beyond compare. Spending four days with that group of amazing women was inspiring, fulfilling, empowering, validating and fun. All goals were met for me. From Kathyrn and Libby coordinating to Casey and Paige's mechanic expertise to Serena and Libby's excellent coaching, it was a win all around. These women care about each other and all of us. They are in it heart and soul and so amazingly knowledgeable. The campers were each unique strong women that genuinely wanted to learn and help each other not only with riding and wrenching but with life. We are now family and I cannot find the words to describe how thankful and honored I am to be part of this group. My place is your place and if you ever need anything in Kansas or anywhere, I've got you. Thank you to all. Karla Jones

This was a really great experience. The staff were all top class pros. The riding in Tucson is beautiful from rolling through the cacti to climbing mount Lemmon. The bike maintenance gave me real confidence to work on my own bike going forward.

Accommodations/facilities: The accommodations were excellent. I loved the variety of housing choices and the layout of the grounds. It had space to spread out and enjoy some space from the group, but never too far from the main gathering area. Everything was very clean and the common facilities were well laid out. Food: The food was fantastic. I loved that there was always a vegetarian protein that blended easily with the meal. Everything tasted great. One area for improvement would be to put the food trays on warmers. Organization/logistics: The logistics of the camp seemed to move along very smoothly from the participant end. I don't know how much chaos was happening behind closed doors, but on the user end it was flawless. We were well informed of the schedule and always kept up to date of any changes. Having Libby to just circulate and make sure people had what they needed, was clutch and really made you feel important and tended to. Room for improvement: I think it would have been nice to be able to run some sort of shuttle service for folks coming from the airport. Maybe pick up all the bikes in a uhaul and a shuttle bus for the people and do 2 runs per day. Mechanic Course: Speaking of organization, I loved the thoughtful way that the mechanic course was presented. Pairing up with a person with a similar bike was amazing to reinforce the newly learned information. Casey did a great job presenting the information in a way that was easy to understand. She and Paige were incredibly helpful and patient as they helped us with our individual bikes and situations. They really worked hard and remained good spirited throughout, despite being pulled in one direction then immediately the next. The topics covered were on point and I truly feel like I can handle basic repairs in the field and am much better equipped to properly maintain my bike at home. I even loved having our own notebook just for these lessons. Group Rides: The skills we learned on the group rides were invaluable. Even just the few tips I did get have been life changing on my rides already. The coaches were so encouraging and enthusiastic, the were a joy to work with. Room for improvement: I do wish the rides were a bit more organized. The first night seemed to have some specific skills in mind to teach, but after that it seemed like it was just whatever came to mind. It seems like some people got lots of tips during rides and others didn't. It seems to be that it was just the luck of the draw depending on where you rode in the pack whether you got some tips or not. I would have liked to have the rides divided into groups, with the ride focusing on a specific skillset. Ideas/options for dividing groups: shorter vs longer distance, social group ride vs skills sessions, slow groups vs faster groups. I was very intimidated to do the rides because I didn't want to be holding anyone up or separating the group and there were clearly lots of people there who were fast riders wanting to just do a big long hard ride, which was not in my wheelhouse. But I did enjoy the shorter sessions where we got more instruction on skills and techniques.
