Boat takes 2 hours to transfer passengers from Santa Cruz to Isabela Island.  

It´s compulsory to be at the departing point 1 hour in advance, as local authorities will check passports and boarding luggage. 

Baggage allowance: Max. 23kg per passenger

TIP: The journey can be bumpy, thus, it is advisable to take some pills for motion sickness.

E-TICKETS GALAPAGOS

The Ferry was on time and the bags and people were loaded quickly and efficiently.

I bought the tickets in advance and received the receipt confirmation. But I didn't receive tickets. I have contacted the company about a week before my trip via WhatsApp and get my tickets the next day. It looks like the company doesn't send out tickets automatically and only requires receipt confirmation when you check-in at the ferry. You will need to check in with the company agent at the ferry. The company is just one of the several companies selling ferry tickets.

Do you know that, despite the 35 dollars for the ferry, you need to pay twice a « taxi boat », at the beginning and at the end ?

The process for boarding was not clear enough, I don’t understand how it’s a mess every morning. In my opinion each boat charter should be accountable for their passengers and take them as a group to the boat instead of lining up per island destination.

The booking process was easy and we easily picked up our tickets and got to our destination.

The boat ride was fast and smooth. We were on the ARLET. The process of getting to the boat is a little overwhelming, but enjoy the process!! You’re in the Galápagos!! Otherwise everyone is friendly and helpful. 

Ferry Isabela to → Santa Cruz / 06:00 AM

Our ticket had no information on it other than Ferry Galapagos logo. We were very confused about where we were to go to catch the ferry in San Cristobal, as no information was provided. If it wasnt for the local Tourist Information Centre lady, who told us which office to check with, to know which boat we were on, we would have been totally in the dark. 
Very poor communications.
Other than that, tne trip itself was fine and we had a relatively smooth day for travel.

I received information that the trip had been paid yet we did not appear on any boats list. Had to buy 2 new tickets to get here and two more to return.

Everything went smoothly
They helped me to change my date without extra pay

Don't book here, they charge 35 Dollars but everywhere on the island you can book the dame ferry for 30 dollars. Complete rip-off. 

Ferry Santa Cruz to → Isabela / 07:00 AM

This is a very over priced taxi ride.  You have to pay all of the transfers (bus, ferry) and then pay the entrance fee to El Chato reserve on top of the fee for the "tour".  Save yourself the money, hire a taxi and tip him a little extra to stop at the reserve

It was a very smooth crossing which departed and arrived exactly on time.  It was a more modern and comfortable boat than we had seen pictures of.  Overall, it exceeded expectations.   Thanks

We booked your ticket in advance at 35 USD. FYI you can find on the island last minute ticket at 25 USD.

We took the Queen Arlette which was fast and comfortable making the trip in an hour and 50 minutes. However the pre boarding lineups at the Santa Cruz Pier and the uncertainty of where we were to go could be much improved.

We had a great time.Everything went very smoothly and on time. All the trips very well organized. Highly recommended.

Good thing we arrived in Isabela. 
We felt totally ripped off. Got a different ferry although we paid $5 extra per person, were not aware we had to pay for the water taxi and the driver of the boat rode super reckless - nearly got sick. So not happy at all with the experience

Le transfert est simple, très bien organisé. Les documents nécessaires nous sont envoyés à l'avance et il est aisé de contacter la compagnie pour toute question.

Booked my ticket by the internet, was easy straightforward I thought 
To get on the boat was was done nicely, people where waiting to sign you of after showing your email ticket.
Would use them again


Positives: good communication by WhatsApp, allowed me to change journey direction after I mistakenly booked the wrong way, quick crossing. 
Negatives: booked me for the wrong day, didn’t answer phone when I called as we were initially refused access to the ferry, ferry was not the most comfortable/pleasant 

Ferry was horrible , no possibility to see the view through the dirty „windows”, service really not kind additionally to get to ferry you need to take another boat for a exactly one minute and that would be ok but you addtionally have to paid for that. Not pleasent experience. Sits not comfortable, not enought space we were sitting like chickens in the cave. 

The ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabela was spot on. Easy access on and off. The guys on the boat did a great job. I would recommend this.

Trip as a while was nice as we sat on the first floor and had a nice view. But when the rain started the boat wasn't covered that well and a lot of water came through thus our seats were completely wet. They didn't provide us with any towels unfortunately and didn't care at all. But when the sun came through it dried up quite quickly.

The ferry had comfortable seats and we were able to sit in the very back to have a view of the ocean. Inside at the very front we wouldn't have had any oportunity but starring at the wall which would have made my wife seasick. But in the back it was nice. Maybe try to prepare some entertainment on your phone as the trip takes 2 hours

We had a tough time arranging pickup from our accommodations to the ferry. Not worth the extra money as the cab fare is way cheaper for the same service. Not sure what the difference in the ferry boat was? They all looked similar. The actual trip itself to the next island was excellent. 

We had a bad time, the ferry had a terrible design, seats where under the boat so we didn’t have any air to breath or view to see the ocean. It felt like a coffin. We do not recommend this ferry unless you seat with the captain on the command floor!

O Ferry funcionou conforme as instruções.

We had three great ferry experiences with FerryGalapagos, and one that was... alright? Overall, an incredibly great company and very responsive. We had a few travel issues in terms of flights so we had to make a few changes to our itinerary, and their communication (through WhatsApp) allowed us to seamlessly make changes to what days or what ferries we were taking with no extra costs. Prices fair for a ferry, especially with Wi-Fi. Ferry experience as well was great, we didn't have the same ferry twice but each one was clean and spacious. While it serves strictly as transportation, I had the opportunity to sit at the back a few times for some birdwatching or looking out for cetaceans and the like. Most of the time these seats book up quick, so you have to either be really lucky, or really strategic with how you line up for the ferry. Travelers from our experience are either welcome to join the captain on the top deck or not - depends on the sea conditions and however the captain is feeling but it's usually decent to ask as you embark on the boat. I didn't pursue the option once we were on the water but you might be able to stand and look out the water, depending on the seating arrangement on the boat, but the waves sometimes get a bit too rocky to hold yourself stable if you're not used to these smaller boats on waters as rough between the main islands, but whatever floats your boat. 

My only issue, which could have been with the Water Taxi upon coming into Puerto Ayora, was that my suitcase was all the way open, possibly due to a zipper, but still all the way open on the dock after it was unloaded. Again, this could have been for a variety of reasons that might have been out of the FerryGalapagos's control, but I think it's important to note. Everything was okay in the end but it was just a little bit of a shock to see it open on the dock. Still though, that was the only complaint with the four experiences we had. 

While we did get our tickets virtually, our first time finding our morning ferry was just a little confusing, but be sure to have your tickets ready to know what ferry you're embarking on, as multiple ferries usually take off at the same time. Check-in was easy though once you know what boat you're on. 

Overall a great company. I think the luggage issue might have just been a bit of a fluke but I would happily go through FerryGalapagos again - really great service and really great staff. 

It was easy to book online, received ticket on WhatsApp. I booked last ferry at shop in town, costs $5 more to book online 

Very well organized. Ferry was very comfortable and staff very helpful. We used this group to book all our ferry trips while in the Galapagos. Each one left on time and arrived within scheduled time period. Highly recommend it 

We had a great trip!!! Loved ferry ride with the taxi's...comfortable seats. Very helpful employees..each and everyone!!! 

We took the ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabella. The ride went smooth. The only complaint is that one of the water taxis had new paint so I got paint all over my pants bottom.

We had a great experience. Friendly staff and very helpful in finding a seat for me at the back of the boat to decrease sea sickness.  Everything ran on time and was very organized. 

This was a complete disaster.

1. There was overbooking, and the crew never managed to sort it out. They asked for tickets several times and clearly didn’t understand what the issue was.
2. An awful, old, and very uncomfortable boat. The price is the same as for good boats, yet this was nothing but frustration.
3. The organization was chaotic. We were seated near the entrance, the crew constantly walked back and forth and couldn’t handle the luggage. People were continuously being transported or reassigned. Even after arrival, they failed to load everything into the taxis properly. Two boats had to wait while the luggage was being loaded.

A total disappointment.
