To travel from/to Santa Cruz, Isabela Island or San Cristobal, there is a convenient ferry service that sails between these islands, Every day these ferries depart in two schedules: 07:00 am and 3:00 pm. It's necessary to be at the departure pier at least 40 minutes before departures.
Note: There is no direct connection from Isabela Island to San Cristóbal, but you can take a ferry to Santa Cruz and then hop on the 3 PM ferry to San Cristóbal.
The boat ride takes 2 to 2.5 hours approximately, with slight variations depending on the weather.
From Isabela ferry departs at 06:00 am in the morning.
From Santa Cruz and Sant Cristobal ferry departs around 07:00 am in the morning.
We recommend to be at departure point 40 minutes before boat ride. as long lines can be found to access control counters before pier.
If you depart from Santa Cruz, upon arrival to pier, you must pay a municipal tax at local kiosco assigned for this service.
After this, your luggage should be taken to be inspected at the Biosecurity agency counter.
Then, approach to agent who is calling for customers of the ferry assigned. After checking your name on the list, he/she will provide a pin to identify your ferry name.
Boarding may occur any time before departure, please be aware of any instruction indicated by agent.
In Isabela, municipal tax is paid only upon arrival to pier from ferrry.
In San Cristobal, no municipal tax must be paid.
