I cannot possibly give Tops’l Farm enough stars—for the beautiful setting, the delicious food (I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had more delicious salmon, but certainly not salmon that was prepared for over 100 people), and most of all a stellar staff that was super thoughtful, fun, responsive, and a joy to interact with. The guests remarked all weekend long on what a perfect experience it was.

Tops'l Farm was a lovely venue for our daughter's wedding! The accommodations were comfortable and the Farmhouse offered a great space for the bridal party to get ready before the wedding. We were comfortable and enjoyed the views overlooking the ceremony space. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality!

There are really no words to describe how special Tops'l Farm has become for me. This was my second "pause" and it was even better than the first. The concept is brilliant, the venue lovely and the people...oh my gosh the people! Tops'l is the perfect place to dial down the outside noise and enjoy nature, unplugging and absorbing the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding area. Our facilitator, Jane Frederick created an incredible space for this group of busy, caretaking women to exhale literally and figuratively. We started on Friday as strangers, this group of 29 amazing women. We left as friends and confidantes, cheering each other on and hugging without wanting to let go. There are not enough words to explain how special the Petite Pause is and why Tops'l is heaven on earth in Waldoboro Maine. So I will just say.....spectacular. oh, and the cheesecake. unreal.

I was delighted to return to Tops'l for my second Petite Pause—and it was very different from my last experience, which was with a fairly small group of 11 or 12. What I liked about the larger group was having more diversity, as well as more solo attendees. Even if the number of people meant that it wasn't possible to connect with absolutely everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with those I did get to know; I think that we established a wonderful feeling of connectivity from our first meeting. Jane's chart with things to discuss and reflect on was a good focal point and icebreaker, and I appreciated how that translated to a sense of reflection and exploration and an even better way of connecting with the place, both alone and with others. As with my first visit, I just love the grounds, the campground cabins, and all the little thoughtful touches. I think it was great to have coffee, tea, and snacks available in the event barn all day (because hey, that hot tub made me hungry for some reason!). The food was delicious—including the fiddleheads, which were a real treat (I think they were the freshest ones I've ever had). And the peepers were the perfect sundown symphony. A larger group does present some challenges too. I know that it wasn't easy to schedule all of us for massages; mine was lovely, but unfortunately it ended too close to the start time for the afternoon workshop, which I regret missing out on. And following dinner I did feel we were rushed out of the event barn a bit (I think several of us would have maybe liked to linger with another drink while hanging out there). I do truly appreciate everything the staff was doing to keep things organized and moving along, however! It was clear that Jane put a lot of thought into providing a range of experiences for us—as well as emphasizing that we could participate to the degree we wanted to. I think that's what I love about the Petite Pauses the most: the chance to both connect and retreat, come together and be alone, all in a beautiful place where you feel well taken care of. Thanks to Jane and everyone else at Tops'l for hosting these, and I look forward to coming again.

I was gifted the "Petit Pause" May 8/9 2024 and knew very little about where I was going or what we would be doing, I just knew that a break sounded well needed. Well, I have to say that it was perfect! Jane's "no pressure" attitude towards relaxation and unplugging made it feel like you could really make the weekend into whatever you felt you most needed. Sneak away from dinner to get some hot tub time in, sure! Skip the yoga because you want to sleep in, sounds great! Lay in the field, read a good book, journal or make some new friends. Enjoy a glass of wine with some delicious appetizers! Dig a little deeper into tarot, human design or foraging, if you'd like. There was the perfect amount of structure and down-time to make the weekend feel full and robust, but also deeply relaxing. I came home feeling like a had the support of 30 new wonderful women friends, some new tools for self-discovery, and had gotten some serious relaxation in. What more could I ask for? Can't wait to come back again. Thanks Jane!
