This retreat was everything that my soul needed to refresh, refuel, recalibrate, and rejuvenate. Simply put; it exceeded my expectations. Kim and Maile were amazing teachers, kind, loving, authentic, beautiful humans. While I already enjoy an active workout life, yoga wasn't my thing at all but this retreat honored parts of my body that had never been acknowledged. Following this retreat, I have dived into yoga, headfirst; and loving the peace and calm it is bringing into my life. The location in Todos Santos was picturesque, and incredible, with the sights and sounds of nature within eye and ear shot. The food was a delightful treat of wholesomeness. Flavorful and just the right portion. The staff at the hotel were amazing people. The other participants went from strangers to lifelong friendships. I am grateful for my sister, Melissa, who invited me to join her in this retreat. My daughter and I enjoyed the peace, serenity, and friendship this retreat brought into our lives. I loved the setting, the thoughtfully curated yoga both morning and afternoon. And, yoga nidra was offered before pouring your blissfully tired body into bed. The accommodations are unique, though a bit crowded for 2 people in the tent. But, very doable. The food was delicious and locally inspired. Any dietary considerations were attended to. I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit, & blended fruit juices. A sweat lodge ceremony and/or massage are fantastic options to indulge yourself in. And, there is nothing like ‘down’ time to walk on the beach, hang by the pool or read a book while swinging in a hammock. It’s amazing how 4 days of truly taking care of yourself by being taken care of in an epic setting can bring oneself back to your essence.

Wonderful location. Absolutely loved the gentle mindful yoga classes-they were just my speed. I also appreciated the amount of free time and thoughtful optional extra activities they had arranged for us!

I wish I were here to write a glowing review about how restorative this retreat was. I booked to it celebrate finishing breast cancer treatment, but two weeks before going, my uncle died and his memorial was the same weekend. I understand I had signed a contract but was surprised by the teachers unwillingness to help creatively solve this situation (the teachers did send one email asking if anyone could take my spot, which I appreciated). I offered many ideas: suggested the teachers hold part of my money for another retreat with them; keep some to pay themselves and transfer the rest to the resort so I could attend another retreat, etc - they did not try and make any of this work. What makes it even harder is that I saved up for this as a reward for a grueling year. I am a single mom, living alone in SF with my young daughter which means I am stretched financially and this was a huge splurge and investment in myself. In yoga environments, teachings often center around extending grace to yourself, and others around you. I imagine this retreat was no different in its world view. The death in my family that precluded my attendance could have been an opportunity for the teachers to practice that compassion off the mat. But they chose not to. And worse, ignored my last message entirely. They were not partners in helping me get any money back so I could try to attend another retreat. Not one single penny, even for food that I did not eat. A huge financial and emotional disappointment.
