Join Limitless Planet and get in the holiday spirit on our Winter Wonderland Adventure to Finland!
Christmas markets in Finland are a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the true magic of the holiday season. With their cozy atmosphere, twinkling lights, and delicious treats, these markets offer a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
From hand-carved wooden toys to delicate glass ornaments, these markets are a treasure trove for anyone looking for one-of-a-kind souvenirs to take home. But it's not just the shopping that makes these markets so special. The Finnish tradition of "hygge" (coziness) is alive and well in the Christmas markets, with fire pits, hot drinks, and warm blankets provided to help visitors stay warm and comfortable as they explore.
And of course, no visit to a Finnish Christmas market would be complete without sampling some of the delicious food on offer. From gingerbread cookies to smoked salmon, there's something to please every palate.
After you have shopped and ate to your heart's desire, we'll head north to see the Northern Lights.
Finland is one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights. The Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, are a natural light display in the Earth's sky, predominantly seen in the high-latitude regions. Finland, being in the northern hemisphere and close to the Arctic Circle, offers an excellent opportunity to witness this incredible phenomenon.
Whether you're looking for a unique gift, a taste of Finnish culture, or simply a warm and cozy atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family, this is a trip for the whole family not to be missed.

The Main Post Office has a direct mail route to Santa himself, Mrs. Claus bakes traditional gingerbread cookies and tells stories about Lapland at her Christmas Cottage, and Santa explains how he and his jovial elves prepare for Christmas each year in his work chambers.
This is also where you can take a photo (and get a certificate) of yourself stepping over the Arctic Circle, with a painted sign marking the circle of latitude that runs 66°33'45.9" north of the Equator.
In the evening meet with your guide for a Northern Lights Safari to find the best views of the Aurora Borealis while enjoying hot drinks and cookies.

Ice swimming (or winter swimming) in Lapland is something many Rovaniemi people find refreshing and healthy. Ice swimming is an experience normally combined with sauna – the combination of hot and cold in your body is amazing and it’s good for your health. Swimming in a hole in the ice really does you the world of good.
