      About this trip

Join us in this very special women-only get-away to the lush and beautiful island of Jamaica. It’s time for an adventure with your sisters in spirit. Give yourself the gift of a unique experience and book with us. Start your planning now. Next summer is going to be a big one for us as we celebrate our 7-year anniversary. We want you as you are: hide your hair or don’t care; married and musty; single and happy; brokenhearted and healing; or anything between or beyond, we welcome you.

This is for women of all faiths because we know that Jamaica has the power to connect you to yourself and the universal, adventurous nature of others with you! Plunge into fresh mineral baths, waterfalls, and lagoons. Savor the natural and gastronomic wonders of Stush In The Bush; down-to-earth organic farming; as well as exclusive fine dining in the hills. Climb the Blue Mountains (it’s ok, no special gear necessary), visit the Rasta School of Vision, and experience true local culture! This is your time to have an experience of a lifetime. Plan it and, as Jamaican’s say, reach!

If you're reading through reviews, take this one as your sign to book that Burgundy Roots trip NOW. Experiencing Jamaica was special but experiencing it through the carefully curated itinerary by Wafa was another level. The connections and relationships she's made throughout the years shows throughout the stay and make the whole trip a much more intimate and personal experience. From waterfalls and lagoons to hidden gems in the mountains and greenery, I honestly had the most amazing time. The food, the people, the city, the water - it was all just WOW and I wouldn't have experienced it the same without Burgundy Roots. Wafa is a whole vibe and that spreads through the group leaving international friendships forever. Can't wait to explore new places with Burgundy Roots soon come!

This one of the best Jamaica vacation tours. Glad I took it in February, less heat and less mosquitos. Wafa at Burgundy roots, accommodated me at last minute for inclusion, so its never late to inquire. However, I would recommend saving some bucks by registering as early bird, or requesting additional discount. The tour offered mix of excursion activities & culinary experiences. They take us to the top rated food spots and views are always amazing up in the mountains. It rains a lot there so mostly cloudy but not bad. But activities are rain or shine. My best experience's were reach falls and rabbit hole jump, swimming in blue lagoon. While stush in the bush was bit extra experience as we were already having good food at all locations and the drive was very long ( I will skip that next time). During the tour visit Rasta camp(Christians who believe in space ships) and Bob Marley museum, and then also watch the Bob Marley movie (on your own, which just came out last month), will make it a great experience to learn the history of Jamica and Jamaican culture. Ya Maan !!, the vacation was great, hotels were nice. Made new friends from UK, USA and Canada.

I wholeheartedly loved every minute of visiting Jamaica with Burgandy Roots. It was unlike any other trip. Wafa excels in making every guest feel welcomed as if she is inviting us into her own home. She shows you the places she loves and is deeply connected with. She creates an atmosphere for visitors to have the chance to consciously and ethically travel by supporting the local economy. And she genuinely gives so much to each guest and people she interacts with. I was in awe and blown away by every handcrafted trip she took us on. Each moment was filled with bonding and connecting with the land, culture and people. It’s also a trip unlike any other because everything is taken care of by the team. Go in with a trusting heart and experience all the joy Jamaica has to bring within the safety and curated beauty that she has organized. What also impressed me was that I came back home truly rejuvenated from our time there and made friends that I will remember for a lifetime. We traveled through the country with heartfelt intentions and blessing. I would encourage all my loved ones to go on a Burgandy Roots trip insha’Allah.

I had a marvelous time! Wafa is a great trip curator who knows Jamaica like the back of her hand. There was lots of opportunity to enjoy nature, accompanied with extensive hikes, walks, and swimming outdoors, which made for a trip that was equal parts fun, healthy, and rejuvenating! There was also excellent food with the chance to enjoy local delights like jerk chicken, curry goat, patties, and tropical fruits. However, the best part of the trip was having the opportunity to meet new people and form meaningful bonds over laughs and deep conversations over the course of the week. I’m already thinking of my next trip with Burgundy Roots!

I traveled with Wafa to do the Umrah... That was such a good experience. This trip is definitely the best by far. She is so professional and a nice person. I definitely recommend it to everyone who wants an experience that could change their life in a good way, bring more love in their heart, a closer connection with God and the chance to meet extraordinary people.

I have been on two Burgundy roots trips so far and I must say, the itineraries are very well thought out. Wafa and her team pay attention to every detail and leave no stone unturned to ensure a truly unique, hands-off and stress-free experience for all attendees. You get to visit some hidden gems , spend time in nature, enjoy delicious food with amazing COMPANY and learn more about Islam while you’re at it. Such a beautiful, spiritually uplifting experience! BEST TRIP(S) EVER!
