It would be remiss to come all the way to Milan and not take a side trip to experience the splendour and beauty of Lake Como, a short drive from Milan. It will immediately become obvious why Lake Como has become a hideout for Hollywood stars. 

After a slow start and delicious breakfast of fresh coffee and Italian pastries, your tour host will bring you to the lakeside village of Como. We’ll stroll around the ancient pretty streets of Como village while your guide recounts some of the amazing stories of Como’s past. Today the village is a hub for artisans and fashionable boutiques so enjoy some free time window shopping or relaxing with a lakeside walk or at our favorite rooftop cafe bar for a delicious mid morning cappuccino.

In the afternoon we will get out on the water to explore the lake with a private boat tour to marvel at the historic villas on the shores of Como. Perhaps we`ll even get a wave from George and Amal who are often at home.

We'll get home to Milan in time for some last minute shopping for those keen to hit the boutiques and dinner at your leisure.

This morning we will make our way to the foodie capital of Italy - Bologna - home to some of Italy's best foods -  You can be sure that you will get to experience them all!

Before we arrive to Bologna we will make a stop at the home of areas other famous product  - the Ferrari factory! Here after a quick tour of the Ferrari museum, you will have the thrill of experiencing what it is like to be a formula one race car driver in Ferrari's own race simulator - all the thrills of a million dollar drive without any of the risk of a million dollar crash!

In the afternoon, after checking in town our hotel in Bologna we will enjoy a walking tour of the city on foot to discover some of the food that makes this city an Italian food lovers paradise. Amidst the beautiful archways and porticoes that make up this city be prepared to lose your heart to Italian cuisine - from pasta to gelato  - it's all entirely delicious!

Today we will move south to Tuscany  - perhaps the most famous of all Italy's regions, and to Florence, the capital city.  Florence offers some of the richest jewels of Renaissance art and architecture. The city is a treasure trove of beautiful churches, squares and historical interest.

On arrival,  we will hop on a small boat on the river that carves through the centre of the city  to explore the bridges and experience the city from the water.

After lunch, we will discover the hidden treasures of this unique city  in the most fun and engaging way possible with a treasure hunt!
You'll receive a kit with clues, riddles, details to find and venture out to discover the secrets and treasures of Florence.

Thanks to this game you will be able to get to know stories, curiosities and peculiarities about the city and it's protagonists in a playful and adventurous way.

Tuscany is known for many things but three of its most iconic products are without doubt its wine, pasta and olive oil. Today you will sample all three!

On this idyllic day of our Italy trip we will embark on a food and wine tour where you will meet two families at the heart of Tuscan life and both great friends of Flash Pack. The Davaz family, at their award winning family run Chianti Classico vineyard and the first, the Calamai family will be at one of the most historic and prestigious olive groves in all of Tuscany. Run by the same family for 200 years from their Renaissance villa high on a hill overlooking Florence, reportedly the birthplace of the mother of the Mona Lisa, it is a unique place.

Your trip host will pick you up from Florence at 10.00am to escort you into the beautiful olive groves hidden in the hills surrounding Florence to the estate of the Calamai family have produced olives here on the first hills outside Florence for more than 200 years. 

Your hosts will recount to you some of the fascinating history of the family and the villa while you try some of the freshly pressed oil.  After a look around the farm and villa,  Eleonora, ‘la Mamma’ and expert Tuscan cook,  will take you into the kitchens of the beautiful villa overlooking Florence for a cooking class to share with you some of their family secret traditional Tuscan recipes including freshly made pasta.

Lunch will be in the garden of the villa or in the 'cantina' depending on the weather. What could be a more satisfying way to spend a lazy afternoon than feasting on the fruit of your labours enjoyed with a sprinkling of 0 km’s fresh oil and a bottle of local wine that we picked from the neighbouring vineyard.

The day doesn't end here however. After lunch we will move further south, deeper in to the heart of Chianti, the most famous Tuscany wine making region.

 Here we will meet the Davaz family, the passionate owners of an organic Chianti Classico vineyard. You will be able to sample at least four of their beautifully crafted wines and take a tour of their cleverly designed cellar, hidden in the hill of the vineyard. 

 This is the Tuscan countryside at its most glorious. If you are lucky you might even see some deer or wild boar roaming through the vines.

Your Flash pack host will drive you back to Florence in time for a well deserved nap before dinner!

We can't experience the authentic Italian Dolce Vita without a trip to the beach  - Italian's favourite way to spend a day off!

Today we will spend a relaxing day on the beach at a private beach club near Forte Di Marmi, Tuscany's exclusive beach resort where celebrities from all over Italy come to soak up the sun and relax on the miles long golden sandy beach.

The private beach club has a bar, restaurant, sunloungers, umbrellas and changing rooms for the ultimate day of relaxing. If you are ready to work off some of those calories from all the fabulous Italian food we've been enjoying so far, enjoy a stand up paddle board lesson with Marco, our resident surf instructor or stroll around the boutiques of Forte Di Marmi and Lido Di Camaiore to find that perfect summer beach outfit.

Today we will travel to our ultimate destination and perhaps the pinnacle of the trip  -the beating heart of Italy  - her capital city Rome.

After settling in tour our boutique hotel we will discover Rome from behind the wheel of an iconic vintage Fiat 500. Drive behind your guide and take in the sights in style.

We will  cruise past sights like the Colosseum, the Tiber river, and the Circus Maximus. Stopping from time-to-time to take pictures of sites along your route at locations like the Arch of Constantine and Circus Maximus. Discover the secret keyhole of Aventine Hill and the charming Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta (Piazza of the Knights of Malta).

Drive along the Lungotevere, following the banks of the River Tiber. And cross into Trastevere, where the tight streets are a breeze for vehicles as small as the Fiat 500. Listen as your provides some brief insights before you head off again.

These classic cars were designed for Roman life and even have a soft-top roof so you can enjoy the sun. Stop for a cappuccino or espresso, or one of the most incredible ice creams in Rome.

Its the last full day of your Italy trip so it's time to get that instagram shot!

Put on your best outfit for a dawn photoshoot at the Colusseum. Rising before breakfast, a professional photographer will meet us outside the Colusseum, before the crowds arrive to create a special portrait that will be with you forever.

The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Rome is one of the most exciting cities in the world and your Flash Pack tour host will be on hand to give you tips on where to go and what to see. 

Perhaps you’d like to simply enjoy getting lost in the Roman ancient cobbled alleys or browse the designer boutiques and vintage stores.  If like us you can never have enough Italian food, you might like to go on a foodie tour of a local market where you can try organic Italian delights such as Pecorino Romano cheese or freshly made pasta, not forgetting of course a glass of local wine from the hills surrounding Rome.

At the end of the day we will all get together for one final fabulous Italian dinner at our favorite Roman restaurant. The diet can start tomorrow!

After breakfast at the hotel, your Italy adventure has sadly come to an end. It's time to say goodbye or perhaps just 'Ciao for now'
