During this 7day workshop we will photograph wildlife & landscapes in South West and Central Florida. Florida is home to hundreds of local and migrating birds, as well as to thousands of alligators. This event is timed for nesting and courtship season. We will photograph birds and alligators in their natural environment during the best light of day. Our journey will lead us to local state and county parks, rookeries, ranches and lake areas.
During our photography sessions we often see Roseate Spoonbills, Glossy Ibises, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Limpkins, Black Neck Stilts, Wood Storks, Anhingas, Black-Crowned Night Herons, Black Vultures, Sandhill Cranes, Ospreys, Ducks, Grackles, Tricolored Herons, Anhingas, Cormorants, Eagles, Pelicans, Owls, Moorhens, Turkeys, Deer, Dolphins, Manatees, Alligators, and more. We will search out the best vantage points for a close encounter with flying and wading birds, address camera settings to take fabulous in-flight shots. In addition to capturing great wildlife shots, we will photograph scenic sunsets at iconic locations. During the day, we will have post-processing sessions to review our images and talk about different software options and editing techniques.
