For those of you wishing to come early, we’ll help you with your hotel in Munich and suggested sites as well. This option will be added to WeTravel for later confirmation and booking.

*Travel Protection Plan - The travel protection included is Post-departure (trip interruption) coverage only.  In order to protect your entire trip investment, the option to purchase additional Pre-departure (trip cancellation) coverage is available. Post-departure (trip interruption) coverage is included in the tour price. This covers participants while they are on their way to, during their stay, and when returning from Europe.  Participants may purchase additional pre-departure (trip cancellation) coverage from the provider of their choice. For your convenience, we offer group travel protection plans  provided by Trawick International.  This plan provides protection for all ages including coverage for trip cancellation (pre-departure) and trip interruption (post-departure) benefits, trip delay, baggage loss, theft or damage, medical expense and emergency evacuation coverage and more. Connecting local communities with live music through large festivals and local concerts with the award-winning Dunedin Concert Band and the Rhythm Kings Jazz Orchestra, educational opportunities for amateur and professional performers with the Pinellas Community Players, the Tampa Bay Music Reading Workshops and the Summer Sinfonia, and a multitude of workshops and spectacular events such as the Pinellas Festival of Community Bands, DMS members both near and far get priority access to live music events, as well as opportunities to advocate to make the world a better place through live music.

Europe 2022 is a Covid-delayed dream of the society to bring Tampa Bay area musicians together from a variety of bands to tour and perfom abroad. Under the direction of Stephen P. Brown (Bio here), and coordinated by Society member/Event Coordinator Lee Lafleur, this musical tour is sure to have something for everyone that wants to come along and perfom, or just site-see with the band!

The Main Group Airfare and the Extension Tour Group Airfare are both with Lufthansa Airlines.  The airfare details are included in the Link to the Itinerary and Group Airfare.  All travelers are already registered in one of 4 categories:  Land-Only Main Tour Double Occupancy, Land-Only Main Tour Single Occupancy, Land-Only Main and Extension Tour Double Occupancy, or Land-Only Main and Extension Tour Single Occupancy. You can now reserve group airfare by going to Additional Options, and selecting the $100 Air Deposit Option for either group air itinerary.  The $100 Air Seat Deposit is due by March 3, 2022.

Armed with this information, we understand that many of the tour participants may opt to make their own flight arrangements or may opt to join the extension tour.  We ask Land-Only travelers to arrive into the Munich Airport prior to noon on Friday, July 22, or meet us at the Mondsee hotel on that afternoon. The flight schedules for both group flights are listed in each itinerary.
