Join local yoga teacher Marina Guastucci for a truly sweet Mother's Day kick-off with yoga, honey, mead, food and flowers at Heidrun Meadery in Point Reyes Station! The day begins with a playful yoga practice nestled amongst flower fields and Olive Trees, followed by a short tour of the farm and apiary led by Heidrun's Farm Manager, Savanna Smith. From there, we'll settle into the Olive Grove and taste through 5 mono-floral honey's, sip mead and dive into some flower arranging (vase included) while we enjoy a sumptuous spread by Portside Catering. We'll close our time together with a Mama appreciation circle.
You're more than welcome to linger beyond the conclusion of our mini retreat. Or, you may want to grab your flowers, a bottle of mead (and maybe a cute picnic blanket from Heidrun's gift shop), some oysters from Tomales Bay and hit the beach to continue your Mother's Day festivities!
*kids must me 8+ and be accompanied by an adult. Grown kids fully welcome! Kid's absolutely not necessary to participate!
Heidrun sits on 16 serene acres and boasts a large converted barn which acts as the production facility and a charming greenhouse turned tasting room & gift shop, all surrounded by abundant bee forage farm-scape. In their pastures, gardens and greenhouse they cultivate flowering plants to provide healthy, natural, yearlong forage for their honey bee colonies, which we will have the opportunity to visit while on the farm. The lovely Farm Manager, Savanna Smith, will be take us on a short tour of the flower fields to explain a little about what they are doing to help save the bees!
Yoga will be held in the Olive Grove adjacent to the flower fields. Marina's classes are a steady paced, invigorating flow structured to awaken and empower all bodies while remaining deeply nourishing. This particular class will include some more playful variations for any kids who are joining, but will be mostly tailored for the grown-ups.
