Hello! My name is Michelle Lo Piccolo and I am the owner of The Mosaic Way Travel co. I started my travel business in 2019 and have been on a mission ever since to make a difference in the travel industry. I started my journey by getting a Bachelor's of Integrative Studies with a focus in: Marketing, Graphic Design & Entrepreneurship. My different passions led me to starting my own business, and now I offer custom coordination services for trips as small as a solo trip to large group retreats. If you dream it up, I'll coordinate!

I didn't care much for this tour. I'm not exactly sure what the point of it was. It's called a "Christmas Lights Tour", but to my knowledge, I was the only one looking at them. Seemed like everyone else was preoccupied with the bars and restaurants that were at the locations we visited. True, it was fiendishly frigid, so I can understand why, but that basically meant it became a pub crawl. I don't drink and I wasn't expecting to spend any money on this tour, so even with food and mocktails being available, I wasn't enamored with the locations. There were some good points though. The lights and decorations at Campus Martius were quite impressive, although not so much at Beacon Hill. Hopcat for the after party wasn't a bad choice, but its distance from St. Mary's at that frigid temperature did make it less than ideal. I did have a good mocktail there and there was some nice conversation. However, my overall opinion of the experience does lean more negative. I really don't see how this was any better or preferential to a normal YCP Christmas party. Everything we did on this tour could have been done at any bar or social club in Metro Detroit. Perhaps if it wasn't so cold outside, it would've been more enjoyable. Further, I didn't really fit on the bus, and although the addition of a second bus meant we could spread out more, that seemed to separate the party into two smaller parties that hardly mixed together. I wouldn't go again and wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a friend.

My trip was amazing! All of the outdoor activities were so much fun! Made some new relationshis. When the Michigan weather did not cooperate, we found something fun to do inside together. Overall, it was a wonderful trip! I hope there will be another Camp Gonzaga next year!

I was fearful my scroogey heart would overtake me on a 4 hour trolley ride, but the Express Christmas Lights adventure was both Holly and Jolly for the entire duration. Michelle kept the passengers on schedule, safe, and entertained with impromptu insights, contests, and singing, all of which thoroughly exceeded expectations. Thanks for a fun event!

Thanks so much, Michelle, for a wonderful get away! It was fun to travel to Canada with friends, and I absolutely loved the theater experience! Nice time to visit and experience new things…the food and the shopping didn’t hurt either! We are looking forward to another trip with the Mosaic Way soon❣️

Michelle organized an excellent trip! She handled the logistics, planned events, and left open enough time and space for a community to form. This trip was a beautiful experience full of wonderful memories and new friends!
