Hey you sustainable foodies! We will be taking the month of May to celebrate food-forest to table cooking at the Yoga Farm. We are looking for chefs, farmers, home cooks, fisher people, nutritionists, permaculturalists, herbalists, and all food lovers with something to share.
Harvest, cook, eat, and play :) We invite foodies from all backgrounds to come together, share their knowledge, and create vibrant recipes based on local tropical ingredients. Please come prepared to lead one or two workshops or lessons in one of your areas of food expertise, and to sit back and learn from others offering their knowledge a few times a week.
We will take turns preparing dinner in teams from local ingredients most every night. We will also work together to create a Yoga Farm to Table recipe book!
Each day will include one optional asana (yoga) class and three healthy meals. Each week will include one community meeting, one Foodie Forest meeting, harvesting from the farm and from surrounding areas, and a minimum of two participant-led workshops. Workshop schedules will be decided democratically, and there will be plenty of time to relax, enjoy the beach, surf, hike in the jungle, practice yoga on our deck, etc.
Get ready to play with jackfruit, breadfruit, coconuts, limes, yuca, katuk, moringa, ginger, turmeric, bananas, starfruit, mangos, cacao, and lots more!
Base Price includes staying in one of our open air, co-ed dormitories. Lots of folks like to bring their mattresses up to the Yoga Deck and sleep up there in the breeze as well.
Cute little house with one double bed, balcony with hammock, sink, and private shower. Nice for those who want privacy while being close to the action.
Wake up to the monkeys in this little open air cabin in the jungle. Tucked away from the rest of the property, the Sunrise cabina offers seclusion and quietude. This rustic little house has one double bed, a hammock, a sink, a shower, and shares a composting toilet with the nearby volunteer cabin.
