Gamboa is a small town where Gatun Lake meets the Chagres River. It was created in 1911 to assign workers during the construction of the Panama Canal.
On this trip we will navigate part of Gatun Lake until we reach the Monkey Island, there we will share a pleasant experience with these funny animals in their natural habitat.
On Monkey Island, 3 species of monkeys coexist: white faces, titis, and howlers. In addition, there are more than 300 species of flora and fauna that inhabit the island and are commonly studied by local and foreign scientists.
After Monkey Island, learning about our native peoples is the perfect opportunity to come into direct contact with culture and nature, while sharing with friends and new people.
The EMBERÁ-ELLA PURU Community, located on the Chagres River, offers us this opportunity.
