About this trip
The activity will take place on the rock climbing areas very close to El Chaltén village. Sport climbing during the morning on single pitch routes from IV to VI grade. Learn the basic knots, how to belay and rappel.
In the afternoon, Weather allowing, we´ll go on a multipitch climb (4-5 pitches) grade IV to V+ (5.8 -5.9 ). The complete activity will take about 6-7hs.
You´ll need confortable clothing, daypack, jacket, gloves, hat , lunch box and water.

This was an experience of a lifetime. Merlin navigated unforseen weather issues smoothly to allow us to still have an incredible adventure. Our guide, Juan, was a delight, professional, and we felt very safe the entire trip even while doing outdoor activities we had never tried before. Anyone who wants a real adventure with none of the organizational/planning stress would make a great choice with this group!

Martin and Juan were extremely skilled, and we felt confident in their knowledge of the mountain and ability to keep us safe along every step of the way. They are also both extremely friendly, and we couldn't have asked for better partners to go on such an adventure with.

Great communication before the trip and right on time the day of the trek. Lovely private taxi to Rio Electrico trailhead and our guide Tao was attentive, kind, knowledgeable and very helpful and accommodated our pace perfectly. Book with this company and you will be pleased, I highly recommend!

I had an awesome time in the mountains with Mountaineering Patagonia and my guide Juan, everything was perfect! I really enjoyed the whole experience (Cerro Madsen and Mojon Rojo) and everything was very professional, I wouldn't change anything, just super happy I got to do all of this!

Highly recommend Mountaineering Patagonia!! Had an amazing day out. It was very easy to organize and communicate. We met up in town and did single pitch rope climbing (but offered multi-pitch as well!). They asked lots of good questions and tailored the day to suit my interests and abilities. It was a super fun day and great for new or experienced climbers!
