CONFIRMATION & CANCELLATION OF SERVICES:

To confirm your spot, we will require a $1900 non-refundable deposit. The balance will be due 30 days prior to the departure.

If using a credit card, a 2.9% transaction fee for Visa/Mastercard or 3.9% transaction fee for American Express will be added to your cost. If using ACH transfer from your bank account, no transaction fee will be applied.

We highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. Please reach out if you need help!

The cancellation policy:

Between 29 days and 22 days before arrival, 50 % of total cost.

21 days before arrival, 75 % of charge.

15 days before arrival 100 % of charge.

If we do not reach the minimum number of participants and have to cancel the tour, you deposit and any other payment will be fully refundable.

Arrive Tangier

Upon your arrival in Tangier, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

It was love at first sight of the Bay of Tangier that gave birth to Saba’s House, a luxury Riad-Boutique, located in the heart of the Kasbah, the city’s bewitching atmosphere and distinctive light reminiscent of Tunisia.

This Riad a unique stopover inspired by Art Deco, combining the excellence of Moroccan craftsmanship with a passion as collectors of contemporary art. Each suite and room. opens onto a unique universe inspired by personalities who have marked the city’s history, from Ibn Battuta to Liz Taylor, from Barbara Hutton to Mick Jagger.

Check in to your comfortable room and rest or freshen up.

After check-in, embark on a guided tour starting from The Kasbah, perched

on a hilltop providing sweeping views of the Straits of Gibraltar and

neighboring Spain. The Kasbah's well-preserved fortifications encompass a

17th-century Dar el Makhzen (The Royal Palace), now a museum showcasing

Moroccan arts and archaeology, adorned with intricately carved ceilings and

lush gardens.

Descending through the narrow streets of the Kasbah, we reach the vibrant

old Medina, home to a historic American landmark: The Old Tangier Legation

in Morocco. This site, gifted to the United States in 1821 by Sultan Moulay

Suliman, commemorates the Moroccan-American Treaty of Friendship

signed in 1786, marking Morocco as the first country to recognize the newly

independent United States.

A curator will guide us through the property, revealing its museum, library,

and conference center.

In the evening, we will share a meal together to start getting to know each other!

Tangier - Chefchaouen - Fez

Following breakfast, we'll embark on a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, where our

exploration of this enchanting city begins. Delve into its rich history during a guided

walking tour of this former Spanish protectorate town. Founded in the 15th century by Moorish refugees fleeing Spain, Chefchaouen nestles in the heart of the Rif Mountains, historically veiled from foreign eyes. Until the Spanish occupation in 1920, the town remained largely untouched by Western influence, visited only by a handful of adventurers.

Wander through the labyrinthine alleys of the Medina, adorned with buildings painted in dazzling shades of white and blue, creating a picturesque backdrop. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the markets, where local artisans showcase their wares, and explore the ancient Kasbah, a testament to Chefchaouen's storied past. Allow yourself to be guided through this kaleidoscope of colors and culture, experiencing firsthand why Chefchaouen's Medina is hailed as one of the most alluring in the entire country.

Continue your journey with a scenic transfer to Fes, a drive of about three and a half hours. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon, where you can unwind and prepare for the next day’s immersive exploration.

Full Day in Fez

Explore the ancient wonders of Fes, the oldest royal city in Morocco, founded in

the 9th century. Renowned as the most complete medieval city in the Arab world,

Fes has meticulously preserved its medieval charm and way of life.

Begin your day with a tour of the city's ramparts, immersing yourself in the rich

history and culture. Your senses will come alive during a guided tour inside Fes el

Bali (old Fes), weaving through food and spice markets, handicraft quarters,

vibrant souks, and auction markets. Dive into the heart of medieval children's

schools, engaging with teachers and pupils. Explore artisan workshops, unlocking

the secrets of ancestral arts, and witness the artistry in public bakeries and pastry

makers nestled in residential quarters, all against the backdrop of historical

fountains, mosques, and sanctuaries.

The pinnacle of your morning awaits within the 14th century Medersa, a

theological school boasting intricate architecture. Explore the surroundings of the

Karaouine Mosque, once the world's oldest university, established in 857 AD by a

lady from Fez. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace from the late 19th century,

once the residence of King Hassan I and now a museum showcasing traditional

arts of Fez. Continue to Fez El Jedid (new Fez) for a leisurely stroll in the Jewish

quarter, where a 17th-century synagogue awaits your visit.

Delight in the unique ambiance of the jewelry market, rounding out a day rich in

history, culture, and exploration.

Meknes & Volubilis

Depart Fez in the morning and drive towards Rabat, the capital city of

Morocco, with interesting stops along the way. First, visit Meknes, a historic

imperial city known for its impressive gates and royal heritage. Next, explore

the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis, a well-preserved archaeological site

showcasing ancient mosaics and structures dating back to the 3rd century.

Following your exploration, indulge in a wine tasting experience at one of

Morocco's renowned wineries, complemented by a delightful lunch.

Fez to Rabat

Depart FeZ in the morning and drive towards Rabat, the capital city of

Morocco.

After a lunch break in Rabat, enjoy an afternoon city tour visiting key

attractions such as the Kasbah Udaya,, Hassan Tower, and

the Royal Palace.

Later, embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to the Dades Valley, a lush and dramatic

region known for its striking rock formations and peaceful atmosphere. Stop for

lunch en route, then enjoy a relaxing afternoon at leisure, perhaps exploring the

valley’s villages or simply taking in the stunning landscape.

Depart Dades Valley for Marrakech with a scenic 5-hour drive passing

through some of Morocco’s most iconic landscapes. Stop to visit Ouarzazate,

known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” famous for its film studios and

historic Kasbahs. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait

Benhaddou, an ancient fortified village offering remarkable architecture and

cinematic history. After exploring these highlights, arrive in Marrakech for an

overnight stay.

The Hidden Sides of Marrakech

Today promises an intriguing exploration of the authentic side of this

medieval city, providing a glimpse into the traditional activities of the locals

and offering insight into their way of life.

Our journey encompasses the remnants of the glorious past of this historic

capital of Morocco. As we traverse some of the oldest quarters in the city,

we'll immerse ourselves in the ambient sounds of children reciting verses in

different Quran schools. Our path will unveil old fountains, historical gates,

an ancient bakery where we'll savor local bread, and the furnace that heats

the public steam bath, understanding their pivotal role in the social life of

each quarter. A visit to the nearby archaeological site of the Almoravid

dynasty dome awaits us—a monument dating back to the early 12th

century and the oldest in Marrakech.

Our adventure continues as we uncover the hidden quarters and explore

the historical Fondouks, once utilized as hotels for caravan traders. Today,

these spaces are still vibrant, serving as workshops for Marrakech artisans

who preserve their ancestral skills in crafting various local goods.

Later this morning, we'll navigate the lively Jemaa El Fna Square, immersing

ourselves in its local entertainments and savoring the flavors of food stalls.

Day with a Berber Family in the Atlas Mountains

Immerse yourself in the vibrant daily life of an authentic mountain community.

The round-trip through the dramatic Atlas landscapes by a luxurious SUV will be

your only non-Amazigh experience on this eye-opening, hands-on adventure.

Embark on a journey where you actively participate in the local way of life. Begin

with baking bread and preparing tagine in the kitchen of a village family,

establishing connections over a pot of traditional mint tea – brewed by your

own hands! Your guide, a friendly companion, will facilitate conversations,

adding a delightful touch to the experience.

As lunch simmers, engage in a hands-on ceramics workshop, molding wet clay

into unique creations. Later, try your hand at weaving a vibrant kilim alongside

local women using their prized ancestral looms. Take a stroll through the farm

terraces, gaining insights into the laborious processes of ancient irrigation and

subsistence farming methods.

The adventure extends to the community's youngest members as you visit a

charity pre-school center, where little Berbers learn Arabic in preparation for

their educational journey.
