We had a wonderful 6 days in the Galapagos. We were met at the airport in Quito by a knowledgeable local guide, Oscar. Since we got in around 2am, my wife decided to relax at the hotel the next day. I had a one-on-one experience and a great overview of Quito. One of the highlights was a stop at the Intinan Equator Museum. We also had stops at a beautiful basilica and amazing two churches. Finally, a stop at Yumbo's chocolate factory. I rejoined Wendy where we enjoyed a nice dinner at the Holiday Inn Express. The next morning, we took a flight to San Cristobal Island, via Guayaquil. Since there were stairs to get on and off the plane, my wife was carried in a wheelchair by mobility assistance provided by the airports. Upon arrival, our local guide, Johan, greeted us with a driver, and we checked into the Blue Marlin Hotel, with a wonderful accessible room. We then got fitted for snorkel mask, fins, and wetsuit. Everyone was so helpful to Wendy's mobility and back issues. A few minutes later, Wendy was being pulled in a rickshaw style wheelchair to the beach. We stopped to see Darwin Finches, Marine Iguanas and Sea Lions before arriving at La Loberia beach. We donned our fins and snorkels as the water was warm enough to swim without a wetsuit. Johan and his assistant guided Wendy into the water, and soon we were surrounded by all kinds of sea life: Sea turtles, sea lions, fish of all colors and sizes. The guys were very respectful and helpful to Wendy's needs in the water - she felt comfortable and really enjoyed this experience. Our second full day on San Cristobal was on a charter boat with other divers. We stopped first at a beach near Kicker Rock. Wendy decided to sit out this experience and watch from the boat. Our guide Johan took me around the beach, where I saw many more Marine Iguanas, birds of all colors, baby sharks, red crabs, and a turtle nest - which we kept at our distance so as not to disturb the eggs. We had a short lunch upon my return, and the boat headed to Kicker Rock - an amazing place! First, the scuba divers went in the water. There was a lot of wind and wave action at first, but the boat captain brought us to a spot in the calm lee of the Island. Johan and his assistant guided Wendy to the stern of the boat for our put-in. They had a large ring for her to hold onto, and she had a safety vest on. Soon, we were under water! Again, we saw turtles, mantra rays, and two hammerhead sharks! But our guys kept us safe and comfortable, while pointing out more wonderful sea life. After getting safely out of the water, we had hot chocolate, lemon waters and the second half of our lunch. And finally, a champagne toast by the crew! After a sumptuous breakfast at the Blue Marlin on our third day, we headed to the airport for the Island Hopper plane to Isabella Island. While we were cramped, Wendy was given assistance in and out of the plane. As our room was not yet ready, we went to a beachfront restaurant for a delicious lunch. The food, views, and the weather were all absolutely the best! Our after-lunch treat, was a visit to the Giant Galapagos turtles breeding center. Our guide, Johan was quite knowledgeable, and we got to see mature tortoises mating. Some of the older ones can live more than 150 years or more. Some might have been alive when Charles Darwin was in the Galapagos! We also saw some eggs incubating, and we viewed some young tortoises kept behind wire mesh to prevent predators from getting to them. There are 6 or 7 specific subspecies, and a few hundred of them were recently release on a nearby island. Again, they used the transport wheelchair for Wendy so she could see everything. We stopped to see some pink flamingos in a nearby reserve, and then checked in to our hotel, La Casa de Marita. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, some wine and tapas dinner! As if there wasn't enough to see, the next morning, we went for a kayak in the bay. Johan had arranged for two double Kayaks. Wendy was able to comfortably get into one with Johan has her guided, and I in the other with Francisco (I think that was his name!). So what had we been looking for, but not yet seen? The Blue-Footed Boobies. And here was a pair on display a hundred yards off the beach on a small lava islet. We also got to see our first Galapagos Penguin, Pelicans, Iguanas and Sea Lions. After a short lunch break - the main meal of the day for most Ecuadorians, we went for a short wheelchair ride through mangroves. More iguanas, sea lions, sea turtles, manta rays and fish. Our guides kept Wendy comfortable on this outing, and we exited the water to share the steps with a few sea lions. And iguanas. What a wonderful afternoon! We had sunset cocktails and dinner by the beach at the hotel, which was also very comfortable! Our fifth day of the tour, was a return flight to San Cristobel in the afternoon. We had been travelling for well over a month up to the beginning of this trip, so we took some downtime upon our return to the Blue Marlin Hotel. We found room in our suitcases for the new souvenirs of our visit. After this we did a little souvenir shopping. Then, we met up with Johan's his wife and daughter for dinner at a waterfront restaurant. The world is a small place: we live about 15 miles away from where she lived in South Carolina before moving to the Galapagos. The dinner was excellent, and Wendy and I retired to our room to pack up for our trip home. Our last day of the tour was at the San Cristobel airport, where Johan once again helped with our luggage, paperwork, and making certain we had our mobility assistance for the trip to Quito. As we took off, we reflected on our wonderful journey, and how the trip had gone completely to plan. Thanks everyone at Latin America for All for a comfortable vacation of a lifetime!

This was a remarkable trip that was very memorable. As a professional travel companion, I had high expectations and our guide from Latin America For All met them. Our accommodations were accessible, the itinerary was fun and well paced, and we had good rapport and nice surprises. My traveler client was quite disabled but we were able to strap her wheelchair to a raft, hand her a paddle and take her white-water river rafting! I'm still in touch with Carlos at his rose plantation, and have recommended a visit to Equador to dozens of fellow travelers, disabled or not, and I know some have gone. I have completed 135 trips now, and this trip remains as one of my favorites!

My wife and I had the trip of a lifetime. We selected Latin America For All because my wife has Multiple Sclerosis. They provided us with a wonderful guide that took care of all of our logistics and accessibility concerns so that we could enjoy the trip without any worries. The itinerary was set up at just the right pace for us - we had full days without being overwhelmed. The sightseeing and experiences were unforgettable.

It was a wonderful experience to see and learn about the animals in the Galapagos. The accommodations were very good with yummy fresh breakfasts made daily. The excursions were well thought out and organized. The daily evening yoga was great. It was a trip of a lifetime.
