At the Baltra Airport Galapagos Path’s staff is going to welcome you, he is going to be waiting with the paper signboard at the passenger meeting hall. Our staff is going to assist you at the Baltra and Itabaca Channel. The, your will ride a comfortable transportation in order to explore the highland. 


PM: The Twins + Giant turtle + Lava tunnels – Hotel

Teeming wildlife and greenest will be found in Santa Cruz Island highland, your first spot is at Los Gemelos – or “The Twins” in English – which are often mistaken for volcanic craters, those are actually sinkholes. When the volcanoes on the islands were active, lava flows would roll down the hills and run under the ground to get the sea becoming big lava tunnels and magma chambers. These geological formations remain underground for thousands of years until their roofs collapsed due to erosion, which is the case with Los Gemelos. Then, you will wonder visiting a reserve where it is possible a healthy short trail surrounded by the endemic tropical forest and they can observe closely exotic giant turtles on natural state, also our guests will take a trip under the lava tunnels always assisted by our experimented tour guide. At the end of this authentic excursion, you will ride your comfortable transportation to the hotel.

North Seymour Day Tour (trail, beach & snorkeling)

The journey starts with a 40-minute bus ride from the hotel to the Itabaca Chanel. Then, a comfortable yacht is going to take you to the North Seymour Island, where the adventurers will be amazed at the unique flora and fauna in natural state. The tour consists of approximately two hours trail where guests can shoot wonderful pictures. One can observe the largest colony of magnificent frigate birds, swallow tailed gulls, blue-footed boobies, and land iguanas, as well as sea lions and marine iguanas along the coast. The trip allows to enjoy watching the pristine Mosquera. This small, flat, and sandy islet offers the adventurers the perfect sea lion behavior observation. It is also possible to observe lava gulls, coastal birds, and Sally light-footed crabs. You will return to Puerto Ayora, approximately 5:00 pm. 

It is recommended to wear a wetsuit in order to neutralize the sea temperature, because it falls below 20ºC from June to November and it is up to 27ºC from December to May.

Santa Fe Island

Santa Fe Island Day Tour (snorkeling + beach)

The snorkeling adventure will be pick up at the hotel located in Puerto Ayora at 7:45 am, then one-hour ride by a comfortable speed boat takes to the Santa Fe Island. The first spot will be at north of the Island where travelers will admire stunning blue-footed boobies sit among the ledges and lava rocks. Then our guests will ride to the east of the island in order to enjoy the snorkeling time next to the colony of colorful fishes and sea lions. The ledge of lava rocks surrounded by crystalline turquoise water permit to the snorkelers appreciate wildest marine life of the archipelago. It is home of rays, tunas, school of tropical and colorful fish and reef sharks. Another spot is going to be at Playa Escondida –“Hidden Beach in English”– on Santa Crus Island, while adventurers are ride they will enjoy hot box lunch in the deeply boat cabin, travelers will have fishing time, and any fish caught are served as fresh sashimi. The hidden beach offers amazing view to the marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies and sally light foot crabs. This place also is heaven of eagle rays, golden rays, marine turtles and white tipped sharks. The beach is perfect site in order to enjoy walking and rest over the beautiful white sand. At the end, the boat takes back to the principle pier.

After your tasty breakfast you are going to ride a comfortable private transportation to Baltra island. Our adventurers will travel enjoying the greenest Santa Cruz highland until Itabaca Channel. You will be assisted the whole time till the airport our Galapagos Path´s tour leader. The program “Galapagos Iguanas Excursion 4 Days & 3 Nights” ends at Baltra Airport.

Confirmation and payment policy: Payments are due based on the following schedule. All reservations require a deposit to confirm. 

• 61 to 91+ days in advance     Deposit 30% of program’s cost (or $100.00)

• 31 to 60 days in advance   Deposit 50% of program’s cost

• 30 days in advance       Deposit 100% of program’s cost

Cancellation Policy: Reservations are subject to the following cancellation schedule.

• 90+ days before trip          No penalty 

• 60 to 89 days before trip      Fine 30% of program’s cost (or $100.00) 

• 30 to 59 days before trip     Fine 50% of program´s cost

• 0 to 29 days before trip           Fine 100% of program´s cost

Discounts & benefits:

• For tour leaders is a 50% discount off meals and lodging for groups of 1 – 4 guests. For groups of 5 guests or more, meals and lodging are complimentary. 

• For tour leaders, tour guide, or any companions we don’t offer discounts off navigation journeys.

• Kids under 2 are free. For ages 2 – 6, we offer a 10% discount off of meals, lodging, and navigation journey. Kids aged 7 or older pay the standard rates.

• We don’t offer discounts for senior citizens.

• We may be able to offer additional discounts for tour companies who send tour groups to the Galapagos Islands on a recurring basis. Contact us for more details.  

Recommendations & clarifications:

• It is required the traffic control card issued by Galapagos Governing.

• Guests with medical conditions and/or special dietary restrictions must make them known to us in sufficient time for us to accommodate their request.

• Guests are strongly encouraged to: wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes with sturdy, rugged soles.

• Bring sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, and hat.

• Bring insect repellent. 

• It is recommended to wear a wetsuit in order to neutralize the sea temperature, because it falls below 20ºC from June to November and it can be chilly at times so we recommend also bringing a windbreaker, hat, and scarf.

• Galapagos and Ecuador uses the U.S. dollar as its official currency.

• Most vendors accept cash. We recommend that guests bring U.S. dollars with them if they might want to buy souvenir.

• The prices are according to the double/triple/quadruple room.

• Accommodations in our lodge or boat (cruise) are subject to availability. If the hotel or boat is full, we will arrange for our guests to stay in a hotel or boat of an equivalent category and provide transfers.

• Solo travellers are allowed to book a twin cabin on shared basis. The cabin will be shared with another traveller of the same gender.

• Photography is encouraged always keeping mind the Galapagos National Park Rules for Visitors.

• All itineraries, dining options, accommodations, and journey experiences are subject to change without notice due to factors such as climate conditions, season, host availability, operational issues, and guest security.

• The described species in the program can be encountered during the tours but it is not guaranteed that always will be encountered as it depends on natural factors, climate, seasons, and marine currents.
