HIGHLANDS TRIP

EL  JUNCO

We´ll visit the El Junco Lagoon a natural formation, a fresh water lagoon within the crater of the volcano that  formed this island.

TORTOISES BREEDING CENTER

We´ll visit  the giant  tortoises breeding center

PUERTO  CHINO BEACH

After the Giant tortoises breeding  center we continue  our  trip  to  the Beach, a white sand beach will  be waiting for us and sealions will be our companion 

The south-eastern most island of the archipelago and also  the oldest.

This island is a heaven for birdwatchers  with a numerous population of Nazca Boobies, Blue footed boobies, an endemic mocking bird and the famous Waved Albatross.

Also with the walk around, there´s a breathtaking view from the cliffs, a blowhole has formed and every wave hitting the cliffs is an exhilarating moment.

When the Albatross chicks are growing and their parents go fishing we get to see them taking off as they leap from the cliffs.

It is also the only island where the waved albatross can be seen during the breeding season, April to December. Those who have been to Galapagos before know that albatross nesting season is quite a spectacle to watch and often described as one of the highlights of visiting the archipelago.

After the walk  there is a magnificent Snorkeling session where we  will  probably enjoy the company  of  sealions, turtles and sharks 

Today´s excursion is  GLORIOUS , We´re going to  cruise  from town located on the  south-east  spot  of the island to  north-west to  a place named PUNTA PITT we land on an Olivine sand beach then a magnificent walk up-hill  for breath-taking  views.

During this excursion  we will  enjoy  the presence  of the three boobies that  inhabit  the archipelago:  RED footed boobies,  BLUE  footed boobies and NAZCA boobies. A short  stroll and maybe a quick dip in the ocean on the before mentioned green  sand beach and the  things get  even more exciting:

KICKER ROCK

This is indeed a colossus of 140 meters of altitude that rises a short distance from the coast will be the place where we will carry out our AWESOME snorkeling session.
Site where it is possible to find sea lions, sea turtles, mantas, and on lucky days even hammerhead sharks.

This excursion will take us on an awesome stroll around San Cristóbal Island, 

first off, we visit the La Lobería beach where  we will  snorkle with sealions and sea  turtles,  then  there is  a walk to  the Las Morenitas cliffs  with  extraordinary views and birdwatching.

Then  we return  for lunch  in town,  and in the afternoon we walk towards the interpretation center,  then  the Tijeretas (frigate birds) high view-point,  a snorkeling  session  at  Darwin bay,  the very  place where  Charles Darwin first  set  foot on the archipelago sept. 17th 1835 during the famous  Beagle  trip.  and then  a beach  time at  Punta Carola surrounded by sea-lions, 

Today´s stroll  will  be  adapting  to  our flight schedule but our main goals is to try and enjoy one final dip in the Galapagos sea
