About this trip

This is a chance to learn photography from Jeff Cable, the world-renowned photographer who has photographed the last 8 Olympic Games for Team USA.

This Galapagos Islands photography tour is a visual feast for nature and wildlife photographers. Starting with your arrival at Baltra Airport, you’ll be guided by a National Park-certified naturalist to the prime photographic spots, capturing the essence of this pristine archipelago. The afternoon takes you to the Galapagos Highlands, where you’ll photograph the magnificent Giant Tortoises against the backdrop of lush greenery and volcanic landscapes.

Throughout the following days, your lens will capture the vivid colors of marine life, including white-tipped sharks, sea turtles, and penguins during snorkeling at Tintoreras. You'll explore the Isabela Island wetlands, home to flamingos and other aquatic birds, offering countless opportunities for stunning wildlife shots. The volcanic terrain at Moreno Point and the serene mangrove channels at Elizabeth Bay offer more dynamic landscapes to frame your shots. Each location—whether it’s the dramatic cliffs at Tagus Cove, the marine iguana colonies at Espinoza Point, or the birdlife on North Seymour Island—provides an exceptional backdrop for your photography, from wildlife close-ups to sweeping landscapes.

By the time your journey concludes, you’ll have a collection of photographs that encapsulate the unique ecosystems and unforgettable wildlife encounters of the Galapagos Islands.

Peru is a photographer's dream country to live in! Mountains, jungle, beaches, colonial cities, incan ruins, deserts, oasis, islands with wildlife, long amazing starry nights with no light polution, rich culture and long lasting traditions, friendly and welcoming people, festivals everywhere everytime, positive energies and a chance to live new experiences. Two photographers had these same thoughts, and even more than that, they have the same vision - share what this amazing country has to offer with other people that are looking to live real moments, share experiences, exchange thoughts, click some shutter buttons and freeze these moments forever in images.

Truly a stellar trip! If you like adventure and you like photography, there is no better way to see the Uyuni salt flats and the Atacama. Kevin Floerke, our photo guru and guide not only gave us multiple opportunities to shoot the night sky, sunset, and everything in between, but we also gave us 1:1 tutorials and editing sessions. The local Bolivian teams were expert drivers and conjured up cocktail hour on the salt flats. This is a trip you can't DIY or self-drive. Definitely a bucket list trip to the most remote places on the planet. I'll never forget the nights spent shooting capturing the Milky Way and a whole array of light painting effects. I can't say enough good things about this day-long adventure in Quito with Paul Salazar Urrgilez, a fabulous guide and photographer, and Fernando Valverde from the Andean Photo Exhibitions. I had one day in Quito, and this was the perfect way to see it. We walked the Old Town. We spent time in the major sites-the San Francisco Church and The Basilica, as well as the square by the palace, but we went behind the scenes at these places. Also, because of their knowledge and visibility there, we saw places that I suspect are atypical for most tourists but provided a better sense of what the city is like. The markets were wonderful, huge, vibrant. We went to a traditional spot for breakfast, rooftops to see the big views. Knowing that I merely brushed the surface of Old Town Quito, I feel that I came away with an unexpectedly broad view of it. Paul is an excellent photography teacher and I learned some new techniques as well. Many thanks for the 2 of them tailoring this day for me and flexing when opportunities arose to see something unusual. I highly recommend Andean Photography Exhibitions, and if I return to Ecuador and have time, I will plan on spending time with them in other parts of Quito.

This was an awesome trip. Dan and Jeff did an amazing job making sure that everyone was taken care of. I loved the diversity of the attractions that were part of the itinerary from the coastal big town feel of Lima, to the high mountains of Cusco, to the Amazon rain forest. Dan planned outings that the normal tourist would not normally see such as an afternoon visiting a local village, having lunch with the villagers and obeserving an El paca ceremony. I would highly recommend Dan and this trip to anyone. For me this was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Thank you Jeff and Dan.

This was an experience that I was unprepared with expectations. Hindsight being 20/20; I could not have asked for a better opportunity. Thank you, Dan and Jeff! I had a wonderful time, learned a lot about photography, and have some beautiful pictures and memories that I get to share for the rest of my life.

I had a great time! The tour took me to some really interesting locations I otherwise wouldn’t have gone to and there was plenty of time to photograph. Dan was an excellent guide and I liked how he gave me good tips on compositions that I otherwise wouldn’t have noticed. Five star tour! Will definitely sign up for another tour with Andean Photo Expeditions some other time.
