About this trip

Every winter the Mexican Peninsula of Baja California plays host to an awe-inspiring migration of thousands of whales. Many species of these gentle giants make the long journey down to the Baja Peninsula to find new mates and give birth away from cold arctic waters up north. Baja is known for having the greatest concentration of migrating marine mammals in the entire world. By joining our Gentle Giants Baja whale watching trips, you will have front row seats to the action!

During this special time of year we’re able to get up close and personal with these majestic creatures. New mothers nurse and care for their calves. Humpback whales put on an amazing show as they search for new mates – breaching out of the water in a thunderous splash. Curious grey whales poke their heads out of the water only inches from the boat to say hello. And gigantic blue whales cruise the calm seas. Whether you’re a diver or non-diver this will be the expedition of a lifetime to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat. The humpback whale watching season for Cabo San Lucas runs from mid December to mid April, the grey and blue whale seasons from mid January through late March. But for 1 month every year the peaks of all 3 seasons cross over allowing us to run these super special whale expeditions to see the best of them all!

Excellent dives at Pelican Rock and Land's End!

Had a stellar time with the dive ninja crew! Ryan was my instructor and only one other student - which was great to ask a bunch of questions and be able to move efficiently. Leo was Ryan’s assistant/shadowing and he crushed it as well! Felt super comfortable with those guys as they showed us the rope. Can’t wait for my next dives.

Girlfriend and I booked to get certified while vacationing in Cabo and staying at Casa Dorada. We completed the PADI online prior to arriving. Our instructor, Fabien, was absolutely the best. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and thorough. The pool time was a great intro and practice while the ocean time was an amazing experience while being tested. We both felt very safe and comfortable the entire time,. My girlfriend was very nervous during the 4th dive at Land End and Fabien and the boat Capt were excellent at encouraging and reassuring her, and she did fantastic. I couldn’t recommend Dive Ninja and Fabien higher!

First dive was great. Lots of fish, saw a turtle. Other group saw a Ray. Bad timing on our day the water was super choppy and ocean temp read 88 degrees F which was not fun in 5 mm suit. Had to sit the second dive out. Was too hot and hit sea sick. But the crew was not pushy at all about skipping the dive and made sure was ok. And even let me just swim in the ocean while others were diving to try to cool off. Was a neat dive site would def do again! Absolutely great company. Very well organized and safety is #1 would highly recommend
