Get A Fabulous Glance At Former Colonial Hill Station

  

  • After breakfast at the hotel, pick-up and drive to the former British hill town of Pyin Oo Lwin, located      about1200 m above sea level. Along the way, see the beautiful landscape and serene villages in countryside areas.
  • Visit the local market in Pyin Oo Lwin, where fruits, vegetables, and local snacks are sold.
  • Continue through town to see landmarks from the British era, such as the train station, Purcell Tower, and other beautiful colonial-style houses.
  • Explore the B.E waterfall, formed by a natural stream in the forest. One can see the many food stalls here and take photos of the picturesque scenery.
  • Proceed to Maharanthtookanthar, a sacred pagoda on a hilltop where one will not only learn about Buddhism but also have the chance to enjoy remarkable views.
  • Take a break at December Strawberry Farm.  It is one of many agricultural farms in the outskirts of Pyin Oo Lwin.       Get a closer look at the farming industry in Myanmar while walking  around these grounds.
  • Walk inside the Kandawgyi Garden,  a sprawling park established in 1915 by the British. Explore the garden  on foot and witness over 400 species of plants. Enjoy talking to locals  who come to the park to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural  surroundings.
  • Return to the car for the drive back to Mandalay      (1.5-2 hours).
  • Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.
