Depart Accra to experience Ghana’s Eastern Region’s rich blend of dramatic landscape, historical relics and traditional cultures. Stop to visit the Aburi Botanic Gardens which was established in 1890 as a convalescent for the British Colonial officers governing the then Gold Coast now Ghana. It is a habitat for plants from all over the world. Over the years, the Garden has cultured a variety of tropical plants, which attract many birds and butterflies. Go on a conducted tour of its many herb lawns and well-manicured gardens. Continue to visit Akuapem Mampong to see the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Cocoa Farm, the first Cocoa farm established in the
country from seeds first brought from Fernando Po in the late 19th century. From this small beginning grew our major cocoa industry. Cocoa is Ghana’s largest export and is used to blend some of the world’s finest chocolates.

Today you will visit Ghana's tallest waterfalls, the Wli Waterfalls. Put on your trekking shoes and enjoy a walk through a dense tropical forest. Relax in the soothing

Visit the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary and Cultural Village, one of Ghana’s most
famous examples of traditional African conservation. The local people believe that these monkeys are messengers to the gods and their protectors and as such the chief and people of this area have been protecting them for the past 200 years.

In the morning, drive to Elmina in Ghana’s Central Region with a stop at the bead making factory to see the intriguing bead making process.

In the morning, we will go to Kakum National Park to experience one of Africa’s Canopy Walkways suspended 100 feet from the forest ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest.
Visit Cape Coast Slave Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a guided tour. The castle is home to the infamous "Door of No Return".
Visit the Cape Coast School for the Deaf & Blind, an institution dedicated to nurturing and empowering children with hearing and visual impairments. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with students and staff, learn about the school’s efforts in inclusive education, and gain insight into the daily lives of the children. We will give a donation to the school.
Return to your hotel and rest of day is free to relax on the beach.

Visit Assin Manso, the burial site of three former slaves from the Barbados, U. S. and Jamaica whose remains were re-interred in Ghana. You will see the “Slave River” where enslaved Africans were washed before being confined in the Slave Castles to await shipment to the Americas and the Caribbean.
Travel back to Accra by late morning with a drive pass Mankessim, an important market town, before arriving in Accra by early evening.

Today is a free day to rest or explore Accra on your own. You may choose one of the activities below at an extra cost:
i. Attend a cooking workshop, after which you will be able to impress your friends and family for years to come with the traditional recipes you will learn. You will learn to make Ghanaian Jollof Rice, red- red and palava sauce. Sample some of Ghana’s most popular foods. (USD $50 per person)
ii. Visit an African Dance Institute for two exciting hours of drumming and dancing lessons. Learn African dance forms that incorporate elements of American modern dance with the native Ghanaian dance forms as well. (USD $50 per person)
iii. Step into the colorful world of Ghanaian textiles with a hands-on batik-making workshop. You will be introduced to the history and cultural significance of batik, a traditional fabric design technique that uses wax and dyes to create vibrant patterns. Under the guidance of local artisans, participants will learn each stage of the process from designing motifs and applying hot wax to dyeing and finishing the
cloth. This interactive lesson allows you to express their creativity while gaining insight into one of Ghana’s most cherished art forms. At the end of the session, each participant takes home their own handmade batik fabric as a unique souvenir and lasting memory of the experience. (USD $50 per person)
iv. Enhance your cultural immersion in Ghana with an engaging introduction to Twi, one of the country’s most widely spoken languages. Guided by a friendly local instructor, guests will learn essential greetings, common phrases, and expressions useful for everyday interactions. (USD $80 per person)
