We will be having our Welcome Dinner at Buka Restaurant Osu Accra(Courtesy of We OWT). This will be a good time to (re)introduce ourselves, exchange numbers, useful apps, and go over the itinerary and expectations for the rest of the trip. 

On our first full day in Ghana we’ll be going to The Black Star Square to learn about Ghana’s modern history and cultural practices. 

Bojo Beach is Accra’s top-rated beach, lying along one of the most famous coastlines in the whole wide world! Be ready for some fun in the sun, relaxation, and an overall GOOD TIME! 

Because we all will have at least one person not on this trip ask us to bring them something back from Ghana, this will be a chance to support local artist as well as stocking up on souvenirs, local art, and different pieces of Ghanaian culture.

We’ll be visiting the Door Of No Return in one of Ghana 40 remaining slave ports. This will probably be a bone-chilling, unforgettable experience. The history embedded into these “castles” will be like nothing we’ve ever seen with our own 2 eyes. 

Kakum National Park is Ghana’s premiere national park and nature reserve! Covered in miles of greenery and rescued animals, as well as tree top canopies, treehouses, West African Wildlife, plus more. 

Time to party, Ghanaian style! 

On Day 5, the last full day in Ghana, we will be visiting different food markets within the capital city as well as taking a tour of  greater Accra. just like everything else this will be optional. You can use this time to relax in the hotel, pack up all your clothes and probably rearrange your suitcase, get ready for our farewell dinner later that night, or go visit a destination within close proximity that you’ve been wanting to see.
