8am - eating breakfast at the hotel 

9am - departure for Badagry slave museum. 

Badagry is the final point where slaves were housed and selected prior to the departure for the trans Atlantic slave trade in this part of Nigeria.  We believe that being in west Africa and as members of the diaspora its imperative that see where our ancestors were sent as a testament to our resilience and endurance as a people

1pm - Eat lunch

2pm - return to hotel in Lagos 

9pm - depart hotel for dinner

12am - Night out

Making Afire - We will start off our day seeing the process and learning how to make Adire. Adire are indigo resist dyed cotton cloths that are made by women throughout Yorubaland (Lagos)  in south-western Nigeria. 

Lekki Market - Theres nothing more vibrant when visiting a country than its markets. Lekki in all its vibrancy has one of of the oldest and diverse markets in all of Lagos. The market offers various types of fabrics, textiles, goods, food and is an amazing sight to see

Return to Hotel 

8pm Depart for Dinner

Breakfast served from 7- 10 am 

Depart Hotel at 12 noon:

Today will be all about learning the arts, culture and history of Nigeria and its people. Participants will have the option of going to:

National Arts Theater -  The primary centre for performing arts in Nigeria.  The collection of National Gallery of Modern Nigerian Art is housed in a section of this building.

Nigerian National Museum -  a national museum of Nigeria, located in the city of Lagos. The museum has a notable collection of Nigerian art, including pieces of statuary and carvings and archaeological and ethnographic exhibits

Return to hotel 

9pm Depart hotel for dinner

11:30 pm GidiFest Pre party 

Today is the day! Gidi Fest is the largest festival in west Africa and the focal point of this trip! 

Breakfast served from 7-10 am

Gidifest brunch 12-2 pm

Gidifest brunch brings together all the participants for a smorgasbord of  food , drinks, conversation, and laughs

2pm return to hotel

4pm Depart for GidiFest

7pm  Dinner at Shiro

Lagos is a water front city and boasts some great beaches, today we will have a great day at Oniru Beach, one of Lagos most exclusive beaches.

11 am- departure

lunch will be available beachside

6pm - return to Hotel , guests will have dinner at their leisure 

10pm - ARISE Fashion week After Party 

On our last day in wonderful Lagos guests will have until 11am to have breakfast and check out of their rooms. 

12 noon - We will have our last gathering and BBQ prior to departure

**Please note** all participants may not be included in the BBQ as flight times may vary, due to traffic and travel times participants with flights 2 hours of each other will need to head to the airport together
