Once again, I had a magical experience with T Barnes and Who’s That Lady. As a second time traveler with this organizer, I learned and saw new things. I realized that each trip brings something unique and enriching to my life. I look forward to my next adventure!

Last year my husband and I, along with family members celebrated our 42nd anniversary in Africa. Our trip hosted by Tenisha Barnes with Wetravel.com, was an experience we will charish for a lifetime. We were so fortunate to have the expertise of a seasoned traveler navigate us on a journey we will not soon forget!

In preparation for my husband turning 50, I reached out to TaNesha about planning a celebratory trip. I reached out in August 2021 for December 2022. At the time, we were all still wrestling with managing COVID-19, and borders were still closed. Ghana was not an option. We proceeded through the options and scheduled for Ghana, our first option when the borders opened. From December, we worked on our itinerary, the party, and how best to accommodate our group. We regularly met on zoom with my group and the overall group traveling. Clear expectations were set for us all. The accommodations were nice, in the middle of town, where we could access almost everything we wanted and needed regularly. There was a club two doors over, Woodin up the street, and many other nice restaurants and entertainment venues a skip up the road, whether it be by walking or taxi. The hotel staff was attentive, and courteous always. This was not a five-star hotel. It is a solid comparison to a boutique hotel in Miami, a small quaint where you know them and it feels like home, comfortable and welcoming. We regularly utilized the rooftop bar and restaurant. Whenever we went out, our transportation was taken care of and safe. Were there hiccups? Yes, group travel comes with compromise standard. If you are interested in customization and personal preferences and diversions where you do what you want all the way through, this may not be the trip for you. On the free days of the trip, you have time to go wherever you want and TaNesha tries her best to accommodate and guide you in facilitating this. However, she can’t cure all ills. She traveled with us from New York, guiding us through the realities of customs and tours in 2 countries. This was my first group trip and I had not previously traveled with TaNesha, she was chosen on referral. I let go and allowed her to take the reins trusting the process going with the flow. There was much rest, revelry, and excitement built into our 2-week trip. My husband’s birthday event thrilled him and was beautiful. We visited the Zen Garden, had an amazing time, and got to sit up front altogether. Service in Ghana varies from exceptional and in line with expectations or slow. Either way, we were fed regularly and completed all the items on the itinerary. We went to the Skybar, Polo Beach Club, Treasure Island, and AfroChella, all at the VIP level. We also visited the museum, toured the city, the last bath, Cape Coast dungeons, and the Art market. Overall, the trip was packed, our group was phenomenal, and we now have life friendships where we can’t wait to meet up again. You can do more if you’d like on these group trips but that means you will get no sleep. But there will be plenty of time on the way back to sleep. I can’t wait until the next opportunity to experience travel with TBarnes again.

Where do I start. This was my first group trip and it went better than expected. Since we were booked as a group, my boyfriend and I weren't seated together. I was able to change my seat with the ticket counter agent with no problems. Once we got to Ghana TaNesha greeted each of us with the warmest hugs. I felt as if I were being greeted by family that I haven't seen since the last gathering. :) TaNesha personally gave us our room keys and we were off to enjoy our free breakfast. From there we were off. All of our activities were planned and paid for. Our meals were always the most authentic experience. TaNesha was always available for any needs outside of our planned activities and helped coordinate. She even sent one of the hotel staff members with me to make a purchase. Our experience had a great balance of culture and party vibes. I can't wait to do this again.
