Grab your gi, your sense of adventure, and your inner camp counselor because Grappling Getaways is calling.
This Memorial Day weekend (May 22–25), join an all-female crew of jiu jitsu women for a one-of-a-kind Girl Scout–themed camp tucked away on over 70 acres in Upstate New York’s breathtaking Adirondacks.
Think jiu jitsu meets summer camp nostalgia: high-level training, playful games, earned “badges,” and serious sisterhood energy.
Between rolling sessions and top-tier instruction, you’ll hike wooded trails, kayak and swim in the lake, jump off the floating dock, tube, fish, gather around the fire for chats (laughter and lore), and wind down with late-night s’mores vibes. This experience is equal parts training, retreat, and joy.
Examples of Badges you can earn:
Trail Blazer - complete a hike on the property
Lake Legend - Swam, kayaked or jumped off the floating dock
Nature Nomad - Caught spending quiet time outside
Campfire Classic - Participated in fireside songs, stories, or laughs
Early Bird or Night Owl - watched sunrise or stayed up late by fire
Camp Spirit - Dressed up for one of the assigned themes
Team Cheer Captain - Boosted group morale
Kindness counts coordinator - Performed thoughtful acts for other scouts
Present and Grounded - Participated in mindfulness, stretching or breathwork
Rest is training - took rest when needed or opted to not train if not feeling able
Technique Explorer - tried new techniques outside of their comfort
Fire starter - built a fire
Kindle Cutie - Helped collect sticks and leaves for the fire
.....And Many Many More!
Whether you are a seasoned grappler or just love the mat life, come unplug, connect and level up, because camp is better when its built by women who train hard and laugh harder.
The full itinerary is still being finalized and will be shared with the group as details are confirmed. As of now, you can expect: a scenic train ride with our own rail car, local sight seeing, and a local winery.
This camp is intentionally low-key, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty and peace of the property and prioritize connection over a packed schedule.
