This introduction to the Arctic experience allows guests to see different sides of Greenland. Travel from Nuuk to Ilulissat, home to the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you will have the opportunity to sail through the icefjord under the midnight sun as well hike to Sermermiut where you will be able to see the icefjord from a different angle. You will also spend time in Qeqertarsuaq on Disko Island where you will see black sand beaches as part of a dramatic and unique landscape.

Arrival to Nuuk and transfer to your hotel, Hans Egede. Upon arrival, we will have a briefing on what to expect while in Greenland.
Learn about the history of Greenland (Nuuk) on this city walk tour with a local guide. After the city walk, visit a Greenlandic home for a kaffemik, a social gathering and celebration of life in Greenland that involves coffee, sweets, and good company. The word "kaffemik" translates to "via coffee".
Transfer to the airport and fly to Ilulissat. Hike to Sermermiut and take a sail through the icefjord
Today, you will have some free time to experience National Day in Greenland as well as book optional activities such as whale safari, kayaking, midnight sun sail, etc.
Sail from Ilulissat to Qeqertarsuaq on Disko Island. Disko Island has a unique landscape with high mountains and black sand beaches often dotted with icebergs.
Depart Qeqertarsuaq around 5:45 PM and arrive around 8 PM. Upon returning to Ilulissat, there is plenty of time to take a walk and admire the beauty of Ilulissat.
Full day experience to Eqi Glacier, the "Calving Glacier". Set sail from Ilulissat where you have the chance to see whales as well as beautiful icebergs. Have lunch as close as safely possible to the glacier wall and be awed by its beauty and size. There is a good chance you will be able to witness a calving. Lunch will be provided.
