A few years have passed since our Girona Gravel adventure, with many former guests requesting a reunion. We would therefore delighted to present this Brand New Luxury Gravel Retreat in Girona. We have designed a week’s cycling with ALL NEW ROUTES, AREAS, ACCOMMODATION AND RESTAURANTS. This gives us an opportunity to show you another facade of Girona province. 

This time around, we would like to divide the adventure in two halves - the first 3 days riding new challenging routes based in Girona, the second nestled in a luxury Catalan country hotel with swimming pool and Spa. From here we can reach new spectacular routes that were too far out on the previous Gravel experiences. 

With this redesigned luxury retreat - aside from the 6 incredible new Gravel rides, this is a deep dive into the gastronomic and cultural gems in and around Girona. This is a journey through Girona to our favourite Emporda D.O wineries, family run producers and many other local delicacies - finally sampling these delights in this region’s most authentic restaurants! 

We welcome you again to the enchanting city of Girona. This time around, we offer you a completely new perspective on this region and everything it has to offer.

After settling in to your hotel, A brand new route awaits us this morning, we head west out from Girona into the foothills of the Garrotxa volcanic natural park.

After a hearty breakfast, the first full day takes us deep into the Gavarres hills. This is a brand new route with an incredible 25KM gravel section which cuts all the way through the Gavarres hills. A punchy climb through pine forests leads to an epic winding descent that leaves us south of Girona and then back to the hotel to wind down.

Dinner will be served at a new favourite Girona restaurant.

After yesterday's hills, today is all about putting the hammer down on flat hard gravel tracks out to the south of Girona. This is a popular section which is used in the famous Girona Traka race.

It's back to the hotel one last time and then onto dinner in Girona's old town.

Today we leave Girona town and bike transfer to our country retreat nestled in the Eporda D.O wine region. After breakfast, we will load all of you belongings to be left at the 2nd hotel. Leaving Girona we head north and through the ancient vineyards of the region of Alt Emporda.

Upon arrival, a dip in the pool and some refreshments in the beautiful surroundings of this Catalan Masia hotel.

As we are situated in the Emporda D.O wine region, today's ride will take us through the ancient vineyards and an exhilarating ride across undulating terrain and the very terroir of this wine region.

In the previous Gravel Experience, we got a taster of the Cap de Creus coastline, in 2027, we get to immerse ourselves deeper into this truly enchanting coastline. This is a day to dive into the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean to cool off and enjoy a luxurious picnic on the beach.

After a final breakfast in the gardens of our country retreat, we offer a mid morning luxury group transfer to Barcelona airport.
