It’s our first day of hiking! We’ll start it off slowly by visiting the Trail of the Cedars before heading up to see Avalanche Lake, which is located near Lake McDonald. 

Today we hike the Highline Trail! The Highline Trail is an extremely popular hike; and for good reason. At every step, and every turn, hikers will enjoy spectacular scenery as the Highline follows along the Continental Divide, also known as the Garden Wall. The exceptionally beautiful views, the excellent opportunities for spotting wildlife, and the wildflowers, all combine to make this a hike you'll remember for the rest of your life. Along the way we’ll stop at the Granite Park Chalet for a rest break and to admire the amazing scenery.

After a few active days, it’s time to sleep in and have a slower morning. Today we’ll explore the town of Polebridge, Montana and West Glacier. Situated at the northwestern edge of Glacier National Park, Polebridge consists of a scattering of houses, cabins, trailers and small ranches. At the heart of the community is the unique and historic Polebridge Mercantile, a combination store, post office, gas station and a few rental cabins. The Northern Lights Saloon serves beer and meals beneath propane lights. 

Another epic hike awaits! Today we tackle Siyeh Pass. This top-of-the-world hike features incredible alpine meadows and great glacier views. The entire trek is extremely scenic, and the view from Siyeh Pass is spectacular. At 8,080 feet above sea level, Siyeh Pass is one of the highest in Glacier Park, which means that we'll have a fair amount of vertical elevation gain from the trailhead at Siyeh Bend. 

Enjoying Glacier’s largest lake is likely exactly what you’d picture when dreaming of a serene day on the water. Lake McDonald’s long, fjord-like shape is bordered by towering mountains, giving kayakers and canoers views from the waters both above and reflected in the emerald-hued waters below.

The Grinnell Glacier Trail starts at Swiftcurrent Lake and leads to Upper Grinnell Lake, with some beautiful scenery along the way. The hike is one of the most beautiful in the park (and in the United States, for that matter), traversing around lakes, up mountainsides, and high above lakes, all the while encountering wildlife. Post-hike, we’ll stop at the famed Many Glacier Hotel for a final group dinner and celebratory drink(s).
