This is far more than a surf retreat.
Set between lush green landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean, this experience offers space to move with intention, surf with soul, and reconnect with the ocean, with your body, and with what truly matters.
Explore longboarding and alternative boards as a mindful and expressive practice. You’ll enjoy daily surf coaching sessions guided by Kassia, Manu and June from "Move and Surf" team. With a focus on flow, style, presence, and deep connection in your surfing through embodied awareness.
Beyond the water, we will have different daily activations to support the experience. Restorative wellbeing practices, gentle movement, breathwork, and immersive sound bath experiences designed to support balance, integration, and inner ease.
The experience is further enriched with a rip to a local spa, curated culinary moments celebrating local Cantabrian cuisine, seasonal ingredients, and the simple pleasure of slowing down and gathering around the table.
This retreat is designed for intermediate to advanced surfers who want to improve their surfing on a deeper level. We will work through technique and style refinement, mindset, ocean knowledge, and body awareness throughout the week.
It is not suitable for complete beginners or those surfing for the first time.
To join, you should already feel comfortable paddling, standing up, and catching green waves independently.
If you’ve mastered the basics of longboarding or alternative boards and are ready to progress through professional coaching, video analysis, surf theory, and focused drills — With Manu, Kassia and June — this retreat is the perfect fit.
Northern Spain is a paradise for longboarding and alternative boards, thanks to its long beaches and expansive bays. It’s one of the first places in Spain where surfing took root, with longboards arriving from Biarritz decades ago. The region holds a rich surf culture that has been passed down through generations.
We seek out uncrowded, mellow waves where you can feel safe, confident, and free to catch plenty of waves. Expect long rides with friendly, open faces, smooth reform sections, and easy paddling out. The ideal conditions to elevate your longboard skills while having a lot of fun.
All sessions take place on sandy-bottom beach breaks, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. Our team will be in the water with you, offering support and guidance to ensure you have the best possible experience.
Cantabria is a small and soulful region on Spain’s northern coast. Its name means “land of mountains,” and it perfectly describes this magical place where green, wild countryside flows seamlessly into the fresh blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Long stretches of soft, white-sand beaches unfold along the coast.
The area is known for its strong traditions in farming, agriculture, and fishing, alongside a rich culinary culture deeply connected to local and seasonal ingredients. Cantabria is home to several natural parks, prehistoric caves, Roman remains, and Spain’s only Surf Reserve.
Surrounded by unspoiled nature and a profound sense of peace, it’s an ideal place to slow down, reconnect with what’s meaningful, and — of course — enjoy some beautiful waves along its open sandy beaches.
We will be staying at a super cute guest house called Blueberria Guesthouse owned by a local couple who are very excited to be hosting us.
This is truly our favorite part of the retreat. For us, coaching goes far beyond surf performance. We approach it as a holistic journey of self-discovery, using surfing as a mirror to better understand ourselves.
Alongside technique, we dive into mindset, strategy, ocean knowledge, body awareness, and the subtle nuances that surfing continually teaches us.
Throughout the week, we’ll support you in setting personal goals and developing your surfing through a thoughtfully curated coaching schedule.
Coaching will be led by Kassia, June, and Manu, sharing their collective wisdom around longboarding and alternative boards.
The ocean and the act of surfing offer a powerful reflection — an invitation to know ourselves more deeply, both in and out of the water.
