We are offering two departure dates for this trip:

As much as we want for this trip to go exactly as planned, we can not plan for complications that arise especially due to inclement weather or closures due to extenuating circumstances like Covid-19.  

While we hope that our trip attendees are vaccinated against COVID-19, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination to attend the trip. To ensure the safety of all GLTers on the trip, everyone will need to provide a negative covid test prior to the trip.  Home tests are accepted. You can email it to glttrips.covid@gmail.com.

Girls LOVE Travel will not be giving any refunds for those who test positive and are not able to join the trip. We highly encourage travel insurance to cover instances like this. 

Additionally, the tour is listed as a package, and no price adjustments will be given if someone wants to "opt-out" of an included activity. 

Your spot will be secured when we receive a deposit of $500.  Upon receipt, the deposit paid is nonrefundable and non-transferable.

Below are the payment schedules: 

The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure.

In the event that you need to cancel your trip, these fees will be applied:  

• Between Now - 60 days before departure - GLT retains only nonrefundable deposit
• Between 46 - 59 days before departure - GLT retains 50% of the tour price 

• Between 31 - 45 days before departure - GLT retains 75% of the tour price 

• Less than 30 days before departure - GLT retains 100% of the entire tour price  

ADD ONS - you can choose to add these up until 30 days before the trip.

Single room for the duration of the trip is an extra cost of $500.
-- This can not be canceled or refunded closer than 45 days prior to your trip.  

Arrival: 

We recommend arriving on the first day around 1:00 pm to GUA (Guatemala City). This leaves time to arrive, transfer to Antigua and check in to your hotel before we have the evening cooking class.

Departure: 

We recommend departing after 12:00 pm from GUA (Guatemala City) to allow time to have breakfast, and transfer to the airport. 

Arrive in Guatemala where your Program Directors will be waiting to greet you at the airport and escort you via private shuttle to the charming town of La Antigua Guatemala, approximately 45 to 90 minutes from the airport depending on traffic. 

Enjoy an interactive Guatemalan cooking class at a small, 100% locally-owned cooking school. We will learn how to make an appetizer, main dishes, two sides, and dessert at this beautiful rooftop kitchen!

Walking Tour of Antigua Guatemala to get oriented. Here we will mix historical facts with useful information and inside tips about modern everyday life in Antigua, Guatemala.

We will take a Tour de Pueblos and have a lovely local lunch and relax.

Next, we' will attend a Jade workshop where you'll learn the ancestral art of designing, cutting, carving and personalizing jade. You'll also learn about why jade has been so important since ancient times, related to eternal life and love and is Guatemala's national stone. 

We'll follow this up with a cocktail class and dinner together.

Ready to hike? We will head out to Pacaya Volcano to hike up and see the active volcano in all its glory. You can even roast marshmallows! The views and area is incredible. After the hike, take some time to relax at the spa nearby and find your zen.

The spa is open until 9:00 pm, so you can spend the rest of your evening at the spa or on your own exploring!

There's also an option for for an Antigua Pub Crawl at  Ulew, Whiskey Den, and Café No Sé.

We will have breakfast before heading via van to Lake Atitlán (3 hours). This is a good time to chat, sleep or snack and relax!

We'll go on a San Juan Cultural Immersion tour, followed by lunch, and a free evening to explore the surrounding area.

Enjoy the free morning relaxing and enjoying the sunrise. You can opt in to kayak around the lake.

After breakfast, we'll head over to a ceramics workshop to learn how to make Guatemalan ceramics!  

We'll grab lunch in Tecpan and arrive at Hobbitenango for photos, sunset, and an overnight stay in the area.

We'll catch a flight to Flores, a town known as the gateway to the Petén, Guatemala’s vast northern rainforest region. 

From there, we'll head over to the town El Remate that sits along the shores of Lake Petén Itzá for lunch. 

We'll end the day with the sunset tour of the Tikal National Park.

After breakfast we will head to the beautiful Crater Azul for a swim and picnic lunch to cool off and relax. You'll have an option to do El Mirador Helicopter Tour for an additional fee. 

We will later board a flight back to Guatemala City where we will enjoy a group farewell dinner. We can go out after if you fancy a night out!

It's time to head home, with all your memories to take back with you!
