Accommodations
Six nights at GoctaLab including roundtrip transfers from Chachapoyas airport. We have a friends rate at the Antigua Miraflores for accommodations in Lima before or after the retreat.
Food
Delicious daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the trip. The freshest Peruvian ingredients sourced locally. GoctaLab has an incredible culinary program.
Amenities
Access to the property's gardens, pool, yoga deck, 24/7 tea station.
Activities
Daily group activities including whitewater rafting, guided hike, ceramics workshop, Amazonian culinary experience, and more!

Day 1 - Lima to GoctaLab

Sunday, October 26th
This morning we'll meet at the Lima airport for a 90 minute flight to Chachapoyas. En route from the airport we'll stop at a scenic overlook and a speciality coffee shop. We'll drive for another 90 minutes to Cocachimba, where we'll arrive to GoctaLab, our base for the next six nights. Welcome lunch, time to rest, first yoga practice, and dinner.

Monday, October 27th
Morning yoga and breakfast. We’ll hike down to the river in the morning with time for swimming. After lunch we take a tour of the Gocta Lab property and Pirqapata Laboratory where we will learn more about the artist residency program and the various projects happening onsite with tastings included.

Day 3 -Rafting Utcubamba
Day 3 -Rafting Utcubamba
Tuesday, October 28th
Morning yoga and breakfast. We'll drive ~15 minutes to the river for a half day rafting and exploring the Utcubamba Canyon. Float down this Andean Amazonic river while running 6 kilometers of class II-III rapids and going through an impressive canyon filled with tropical dry forest and river birds like herons, egrets and kingfishers. A 30 minute hike up a side canyon will take us to the Sucusbamba waterfall, where we can swim and explore the cave behind the falls. Return to GoctaLab for lunch and leisurely afternoon. Evening practice and dinner.

Morning yoga and breakfast. Creative day with hands-on cooking and ceramics workshops in the morning and afternoon. Join one, both, or none! Lunch at GoctaLab. Evening practice and dinner with bonfire.

Morning yoga and breakfast. Half day hike departing from the lodge to Gocta Waterfall, ~10km roundtrip. Picnic Llnch at Mirador and free afternoon at GoctaLab. Evening practice and Amazonian Culinary Experience dinner.

This was an incredible week of great yoga with a view of the waterfalls, amazing food, lovely people and fun adventures! I loved every minute and came away feeling rested and refreshed with a few new friends too. Claire and Julia do an incredible job. I will be back!!

This GoctaLab trip with Julia and Claire was such an incredible, unforgettable, awe-inspiring experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Julia and Claire are the best retreat hosts—very organized, communicative, engaging and just wonderful humans overall! Not to mention, they’re both amazing yoga instructors, I felt so grateful and peaceful after every class. GoctaLab is a beautiful and serene property filled with coffee plants, gorgeous flowers, and lush greenery. Both the bio pool and the yoga deck overlooking the waterfall were true highlights, as well as the succulent garden! The food is absolutely delicious and the menu features local ingredients and unique Amazonian dishes. I think I gained five pounds, everything was too good. Other highlights included a beautiful scenic hike to Gocta waterfall, visiting ancient Kuelap ruins, white water rafting and sharing it all with an amazing group of people! I could not recommend this trip more highly. Thanks, Julia and Claire!

We had a fantastic time! Amazing hosts, super fun itinerary, gorgeous retreat center and grounds and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The bonus was having the option to do yoga twice a day with Claire and Julia. They’re real pros.

The perfect balance of active, restful, and restorative, Claire and Julia planned a wonderful week in Gocta. GoctaLab is a little paradise, Chachapoyas is an incredible place to visit - if you have the chance to attend this retreat DO IT! Claire is an incredible Yoga teacher and both ladies did an excellent job planning and communicating. This is an amazing retreat!!

I had the most wonderful week at the GoctaLab yoga retreat. Not only is the location absolutely stunning and unique with lots of cool activities available like hiking, pottery classes, swimming, and canyoning, the hotel itself is super special. The food was outstanding and all of the staff here made us feel like their family. Claire and Julia were fantastic hosts, and the yoga was very special. This was my first yoga retreat, and I left feeling stronger, healthier, calmer, and like my nervous system was given a reboot. Claire and Julia are very experienced yogis and wonderful teachers. I highly recommend that anyone would attend their retreats, and I hope to return as well!
