About your trip

This is an adventure and yoga retreat in Peru.  Expect inspiring scenery, connected practices, and rewarding excursions with delicious food to nourish us throughout the trip.  A perfect retreat for those looking to go beyond Machu Picchu.

During this retreat, we want to provide the time, space, and experiences to broaden your perspective on day-to-day life. Together we can work towards harmony, balanced energy, and introspection. Our outdoor experiences are portals for our inner adventures. Use this retreat as an essential pause where we can deepen our yoga practice, get out into nature, and reconnect to ourselves.

Please note that for this trip to proceed, a certain minimum number of people must reserve a place.  The booking deadline is April 1st, at which point we will provide confirmation if this number has been reached, so you may proceed with booking airfare and other forms of transportation.

If you choose to book airfare in advance of final confirmation, please book refundable fares or obtain travel insurance to protect yourself against additional charges should final dates change or cancelation occurs.

Location & About GoctaLab

Cocachimba is located at the heart of the Valley of Waterfalls in the Amazonas region of Peru.  Our incredible hosts Gianna and Sergio run a meaningful artist residency and nature lodge in Cocachimba called GoctaLab.

Gianna is a painter and Sergio is a sculptor, both of whom have studied and taught at world-renowned institutions in Peru and beyond. Having joined forces in the making of Goctalab, they have combined their art with the backdrop of the spectacular natural environment of the Amazon and a passion for sustainable innovation and experimentation.

The result is GoctaLab: an art residence and organic coffee farm where fresh ideas come to life and a symbiotic balance between humans and nature presides. The ever present view of the cascading Gocta waterfall in the distance reminds us each day of the power of nature and the transience of life on this planet. We believe, above all, that it’s our duty to respect it and protect it, and in doing so we are making life more healthy and sustainable for our communities and future generations. https://www.goctalab.org/

Cohosts

Claire Beiersdorf: I have lived in Cusco for the last decade, deepening my yoga and spiritual practice. Throughout these years, I have discovered what it really is to live a spiritually rich life. More than anything, I want to share with you where I live and the experiences that have enriched my life, on and off the mat. This won’t be your typical yoga retreat. I want us to share in the experience of leaving our comfort zone. In the hopes that we have a truly unique experience together.
