Day one is a full travel day from Jacksonville to Chester, Va. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel for the night. After check-in, you’ll be able to walk next door for dinner at Cracker Barrel for good eats and some shopping too!

Breakfast at the hotel before departure. Today we travel 2 hours into our nation’s capital. Our first stop is at the Smithsonian Museums. Take time to visit as many of the museums as you choose including the Museum of American History, the Air & Space, the Bible, Holocaust and more. We will check into our local hotel before dinner. Dinner tonight is in Old Town Alexandria at the popular Fish Market Restaurant. This area is full of life, nostalgia, and live bands. We will return to our hotel after dinner. Rise & shine, with a hearty breakfast at our hotel. Buckle up as begin a full day of touring DC. What will we see? The question is “what won’t we see”. We will begin with a tour of our nation’s Capitol. Other sights including National Archives, The White House, FBI, and as many others that we can pack into the day. We will insert as many sights as possible. A special dinner overlooking the river will be experienced at Tony & Joes in Georgetown. After dinner, our Washington Guide will enlighten us with a special Illumination Tour of the major monuments and memorials which will include the Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean, Thomas Jefferson, MLK, and WWII. Breakfast at the hotel before departure. Our time is DC is not quite over. Our Washington Guide will lead us through Arlington National Cemetery to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where we will be able to observe this relevant and honorable ceremony. A visit to the Pentagon 911 Memorial is scheduled before we travel to Mt Vernon - home of our First President. After our tour, we will begin our short driver back to Chester, Va with a stop for dinner along the way. Overnight– Chester, Va

Enjoy breakfast at our hotel. We will depart Virginia and begin our trek south into North and South Carolina through Georgia and finally to the beautiful sunshine state with memories of the past and memories with special friends.
