3 Days of white water kayaking skills and confidence boosting on the Scottish summer classics.
This course is designed to ensure you have a strong set of foundational skills in the grade 2 environment to then transfer into the more challenging Grade 3 waters. Over 3 Days we will give you plenty of technical and tactical information to support you in taking control of your kayak on the water. From river reading, paddle skills and safety to mindset and confidence building.
The rivers we plan to use on this course will need to be flexible to suit the group and conditions. We have amazing sections on the Findhorn, Arkaig, Spey, Tay, Roy & Spean which thanks to large catchment areas and our typical wet autumn weather are the most likely rivers to run.
For this course we recommend plenty of grade 2 experience and maybe some grade 3.
A reliable white water roll would support your progression but if your roll is not bomb proof we can support you with this.
If you require accommodation we recommend looking at the villages of Newtonmore & Kingussie as the most central location to these rivers. Most of the rivers listed are around an hour from here depending on the sections used.
This central location leaves us flexible to travel east and west to these different rivers depending on the levels we get.
