Travel Insurance & Global Assistance coverage is available via a Deluxe Group Plan from Travel Guard to cover accident, bags, cancellation/trip interruption charges, delay, emergency evacuation etc. For coverage details see www.steviejaytravel.com/insurance. When insurance premium paid with initial payment, Pre-existing Medical Condition Exclusion is waived if all Insured’s are medically able to travel when this plan cost is paid.  Other terms at www.steviejaytravel.com/terms-and-conditions are also incorporated by reference. Details and price subject to change, due to conditions beyond our control, such as fuel surcharges, government-imposed taxes and fees. Note: other insurance plans may only cover you for certain things and Medicare does not cover you at all outside the USA. Because of licensing issues, Pennsylvania & Montana residents cannot buy TravelGuard's Deluxe Group Plan, but may buy insurance coverage on an individual plan by mentioning that interest in the Notes to the Organizer.

Passport and foreign visa requirements Assuming you are flying with our group both directions January 2-21, 2019,  we recommend that your Passport be valid through July 21, 2019 and that you have 9 blank pages in your passports to allow for each countries' passport stamp. Only two countries normally require a visa: China and Vietnam. No shots are required; however you are advised to consult www.cdc.gov for a list of suggested shots.

Note that Visa fees are not included in your cruise and will cost $56-76 charged by Princess Cruises to your stateroom account. This is less expense or trouble than obtaining the visa through a visa service. Here are the specifics:

According to Princess Cruises about China: "many guests [Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, UK, or U.S. citizen] embarking in Shanghai may not require a Chinese visa for this voyage if:
1) You arrive in Shanghai directly from a country other than China [we are] or the first country other than China visited on the cruise;
2) You embark your cruise within 144 hours of arrival in Shanghai [we are]; and
3) You do not leave the Yangtze Delta region (Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang) during that time [we have no plans to go beyond the city area].

YOU MUST PRESENT YOUR CRUISE BOARDING PASS AND TRAVEL SUMMARY TO IMMIGRATION AUTHORITIES UPON ENTERING CHINA to take advantage of the 144-hour Visa-exemption Transit Policy. Please also check with your airline regarding their documentation requirements."

Further from Princess Cruises about Vietnam: "A Vietnam visa is required for most guests on this voyage, including Australian, Canadian, New Zealand and U.S. passport holders. You may either obtain the visa on your own before your cruise, or a visa will be issued upon arrival in Vietnam. If you choose to have the visa issued on board, a passport-size photo or copy of your passport photo page is required, and a visa fee of USD $56.00 per person (USD $76.00 per person for those participating on an overland package) will be charged to your stateroom account. Some guests, including UK passport holders, do not require a visa; however, they will be charged $1 per person for a landing card and a $1 per person processing fee. All guests' passports must be valid for at least six months after departing Vietnam and must contain at least one unused page for entry/exit endorsements." [Notice that you must make a copy of your passport.]

Countries' entry & exit requirements are subject to change.

Discounts or Upgrades

We have presented group package rates for what we feel are the best values within the broad Types noted below on this page: Interior, Oceanview, Balcony, Mini-Suite & Suite. Our judgement of best value is based on decades of helping thousands of customers choose between dozens of categories and the hundreds of stateroom locations aboard the ship

However, you may have different preferences, that may affect our package rates:
Lower price, for a lesser location- lower deck and/or forward or aft

• Best location, at a higher price- as high a deck as one can get for mid-ships

Here's how to discover your options currently available using the two buttons at upper right. Either when booking, after clicking the green "Select" button, then choose the Category Preference box you wish, or, "Contact Organizer" (blue button). Either way, we will give you a current price check within 12-24 hours.

Discount Codes: here are the only discount codes that apply. Enter the code shown (in bold) when booking for the per-person discount indicated:

LAND-ONLY is entered if you are either flying over differently and/or return differently than the group. Then you must buy your own ticket directly online with another company (we regret that we cannot issue tickets for individuals just the round trip group air ticket on United Airlines). This $600 discount also means that you are getting yourself to and from Chicago O'Hare airport and between the foreign airports and hotels; you can ride the transportation between the hotels and ship if you are staying at both. Important note: if you arrive in Shanghai more than 144 hours prior to the cruise sailing, then you will need to obtain a visa to enter China (see this link if you have question about the 144 hour visa free option). We suggest a visa service like American Visa in Chicago. Singapore does not require a visa if you are staying less than 90 days.

NO-ORD-HTL is entered when you do not want the Chicago O'Hare hotel on January 1 before flying on January 2. So you will see you at the United gate in Chicago. The savings is $60/person based on double occupancy.

NO-SHA-HTL is entered when you do not want the Shanghai hotel from January 3-5 but the package will still include the Princess transfer from the airport to the ship. You will be arranging your own air ticket. The savings is $190/person based on double occupancy.

NO-SIN-HTL is entered when you do not want the Singapore hotel stay from January 19-21 but the package will still include the Princess transfer from the ship to the airport. You will be arranging your own air ticket. The savings is $230/person based on double occupancy.

The Discount field only takes one discount code. If you have multiple discount codes, note them in the field, Notes to Organizer & we will reduce the tour price for you.

Single Stateroom

Pricing options are shown for all types of double cabins (for 2 people, price shown is per person) but only one type for a single stateroom (for 1 person). Here are the prices of single staterooms:*

Type: Double Rate + Supplement = Single Rate + Insurance = Total

Interior: $4,332 + 3,232 = 7,564 + 545 = 8,109

Oceanview: $4,662 + 3,562 = 8,224 + 593 = 8,817

Balcony: $5,357 + 4,257 = 9,614 + 693 = 10,307

Mini-Suite: $5,902 +4,802 = 10,704 + 771 = 11,475

Suite: $7,869 + 6,769 = 14,638 + 1,054 = 15,692

*We have not listed options on the booking form for all types of single rooms; click blue Contact Organizer and we will add a pricing option for the type you want.

MR
I had a great time. My fellow travellers were a great bunch including our bus driver and tour guides. Hotels were comfortable and much better than I remember from my 1971-1974 tour of duty. Tour guides were knowledgeable. Ed was just great. I missed the European menus the day after I was home. Great food. Looking at another trip. However, I need to get in better shape. We were on the go most of the time and castles and bunkers don't have elevators.
