About this trip

I had been searching for a way to win the lottery to hike to Phantom Ranch, and Fit4 Adventure provided the means.  We organized our couple's trip, and Joe and the team took care of the rest.
We needed to cover a few nuances regarding travel and various inbound travelers, but Joe was cool, calm, and collected with anything we could throw at him.  
We even got to eat in the private El Tovar dining room before heading down to Phantom.  This was a special treat as was the entire experience.
The food and lodging at Phantom were great, and no one complained about the extra hot shower or clean bed linens.
We enjoyed the trip so much that we booked the same tour/trip again for March 2024!

Ski Breckenridge 2024

The Guatemala Coffee Expedition was a great trip that really brought fitness, food, culture, and coffee to the forefront of the trip.  The accommodations were unique and allowed us to really enjoy the different settings of our trip.  Our guides Marie and Michael selected excellent places for us to eat and visit along the way.  Hiking Acatenango was a fun challenge, and the view from camp made it well worth the effort. I would recommend this trip to others and look forward to another Fit 4 Adventure trip in the future.  

Guatemalan Coffee Expedition 2024

This was a memorable trip in every way. The planning was impeccable. The people were so much fun and we all got along very well. The hotels were beautiful and very comfortable. Marie and Michael’s planning, the excursions and activities were what made this trip a trip of a life time for me. Thank you Fit 4 Adventure!

We had a wonderful time. It was a very educational and immersive trip/experience. The guides,(Marie Hoag and Michael Iwasko) were so attentive and constantly making sure that the trip was going well for everyone. They were very intentional with planning the tours, the food and restaurants, the local guides, etc. that enabled us to experience the best of the local Guatemalans. The beauty and the richness of the land and the people constantly wowed us. Guatemala was never on my "bucket list", but this was one of the best trips that I have ever taken. We had such a great group of fellow travelers as well!

It was an amazing trip and educational trip ! I have now been on 8 fit4adventure trips and each one has been completely unique - reflecting the character of the guides that get to choose their own interests.  Marie was amazing as her love and knowledge of Guatemala was apparent in each place she took us and how much we learned about the plight of the Mayans who are so discriminated against in the country that was theirs for thousands of years.  The people were so beautiful and we watched these women weave magnificent textiles and paint otherworldly paintings.  We specifically went to women-owned business as they are so downtrodden and discriminated against.

The hike (both up and down) was brutal but the views of the volcano at night and the sunrise in the morning - all above the clouds at 12000 feet - were like nothing I have ever experienced - and apparently there is no other place on earth quite like what we saw.  And - we got the 6.1 earthquake experience - at no extra charge!

The trip was even better than advertised.   The scenery and the experiences exceeded my expectations.  The itinerary was perfect and I felt like I got to see the best of both parks.  I wouldn't change a thing!  The house we stayed in was a great way to make new friends, unwind after hiking and still enjoy the Zion surroundings.   Lastly, the meals provided were well planned with lots of options and so delicious!  We were spoiled on this trip, for sure.  Joe & Tara were a great team both on the trails and in the kitchen.

Utah's Zion and Bryce Canyon - October 2023

What a wonderful group of people signed up for this trip.    The hikes and experiences planned really showed off the beautiful island of Mallorca and its people.  Trip to Son Piug winery and time in Pollenca with Perry were very special experiences.   And the Villa!   The happy hours and meals outside were so conducive to getting to know our fellow hikers.     The hikes were challenging to me because I did not do enough of the conditioning to get ready for going uphill.    I will know how to prepare for next time!   Marie and Diane were superb guides, cooks and drivers!!  Could there be a Mallorca hiking part 2?   So many places to see there like Cuevas del Drach, Illa de Cabrera and others I read about.   Loved the trip, the people and the guides!!

Great trip. Right on the edge of my comfort zone BUT I did it! Great guides. Great guests. Amazing scenery. Would recommend highly to very fit folks! 

Tour du Mont Blanc 2023 - Trip 1

What an incredible experience! Scenic bike rides, cozy yacht, incredible food, upbeat guides and in incredibly fun group of active travelers! I was able to explore the beautiful country of Croatia without a care in the world. Fit 4 Adventure truly took care of everything making this the perfect week. I would go on the trip 100 more times!

Hands down one of the best trips I have taken.  The boat was amazing and Croatia is a must destination.  Fit 4 adventure nails it each and every time.  Already signed up for my 5th adventure!

Beautiful country, friendly people. Crew and staff were great. Would prefer to have option to eat dinner off the boat every evening to explore local cuisine. 
This boat was not up to expectations with hot tub and pool not functioning and bath towels stiff and uncomfortable. 
Having said all this I would NOT hesitate booking another Fit 4 Adventure trip. Their staff was exceptional and I believe our trip was the madden voyage so some hiccups were expected. 

Croatia Cycling Cruise 2023 - President

Fit4Adventure is the best way to see the world. They plan adventurous vacations that combine exercise with a thorough introduction to the area you are visiting and they are very attentive to each individual's needs. The accommodations were lovely and obviously well-researched. I've traveled with them twice to two different countries. Both experiences provided "trips of a lifetime". They tell you what to pack, and when to arrive, and then they take care of everything else. I've made lifetime friends on both trips because the friendliness of the staff ripples into the group and you feel like a family at the end. 

We had a fabulous time biking around Croatia.  Fit4Adventure did a great job skirting us around all the rain and wind so that we could continue to bike each day.  The scenery was very picturesque and the biking was challenging.  Highly recommend Fit4Advenutre.  Thank you Kris Corbett for a great trip.

Iceland was a dream! Every detail meticulously planned. Packed so much into a day-just like I hoped. Beautiful scenery, active adventures, great people. Thank you for a wonderfully active vacation!

Iceland Adventure Tour 2023

This was our first time with Fit 4 Adventure and we are looking forward to joining them again. We spent 7 fantastic days exploring Iceland which included hiking, kayaking among icebergs, geo-thermal hot baths, seeing beautiful waterfalls, geysers and recent lava flow from volcano,  horseback riding on black beaches and best of all was a secret hot river hike/dip. Hotels were modern, clean, comfortable and our rooms had good views (such as mountains...). Food was good and fresh. We loved the tomato farm tour that had lunch served with delicious tomato soup and bread onsite greenhouses. Our guide, Joe Dann, was super nice and attentive.  We  had a great time. We highly recommend this tour to everyone.




We had a wonderful time. We kept busy from the moment our travel group gathered. Fit4Adventure had some unique adventures planned for us; ones we may not have sought out on our own. The guides were so kind, helpful, interesting and fun. We had great food,  met new friends, and created wonderful memories! I would recommend this trip for anyone ready to hit the ground running and have a active, adventurous week!

Run Wild in Alaska 2023 - Week 1

Joe and Brian were amazing guides. Brian kept us out of trouble on the trail while Joe made sure we were fed and comfortable.  Our fellow travelers were a delight. The sights, food, music festival and beauty of the trail made this a never to forget adventure. Very doable for most fitness levels. 

Missouri Katy Trail - Spring

This was our 4th trip with F4A and as usual we had a casual, relaxing and fun adventure. The Katy trail is beautiful with picturesque farms, bluffs and small towns. The hotel accommodations were unique and comfortable. The restaurants were local and we explored regional favorites like fried pickles!  The crew was helpful and resourceful.  We are looking forward to trip #5 in the future. 

This was our 3rd Fit4Adventure trip and we enjoyed every single one of them.  The Mallorca hiking trip had been on our radar for a few years and so glad we decided to go. The trip was everything we expected and more. Moderately challenging hikes, beautiful scenery and weather (sunny and pleasantly warm), superb guides (Joe and Diane), comfortable accomodations in a centuries old updated villa, great food and wine, and fun, adventurous travel companions. Thanks for a great experience! We look forward to taking more Fit4Adventure trips!


Mallorca Hiking 2023

5 stars........this trip exceeded my expectations; it was more than a yoga/hiking trip - for me it was retreat with wonderful and strong women held at a ranch that was magical. Under the great guidance of Kristin and Emily I came away with a better appreciation of the practice of yoga, meditation and self-care. High marks for Kristin and Emily - they did a fantastic job. Highly recommended.

As always Kristin and Emily were the best. It was relaxing, fun and insightful. They are both wonderful people and make everyone feel welcome   

This was my (I think) 8th year to cycle Mallorca with Fit4Adventure and Legro's Cycling camp. As usual, the weather and the island cycling experience was perfect. Of all my world travels this is one of the best values in terms of overall cost. The cycle training from Legro's team is first rate the the support services from Fit4Adventure made sure everything came off without a hitch.

Our New Mexico trip went beyond my expectations. Our guides, 'Kristin and Emily did such an amazing job keeping us safe and well-nourished. I really enjoyed getting to know them and hiking and practicing yoga alongside them. The meals were great! We joked that the food was like being on a cruise ship. Our road trips from destination-to-destination were well-planned, comfortable, and safe. I really enjoyed getting to know our other group members (all from the midwest, too). Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Activities we did other than hiking and yoga included journal prompts, walking meditation, shopping in Santa Fe and Taos, a spa day at Ojo Santa Fe, hot springs in Montezuma, delicious lunches at The Pantry Rio and The Skillet, dinners together at the ranch made by the crew, and so much more. I came home renewed, nourished, and loved. Thank you, Kristin and Emily, and Collin and your crew, and everyone at Fit4Adventure for an amazing time.

We had a great time!< Great food, great people, lovely accommodations! Joe and Diane were very pleasant, hardworking and attentive guides. I would suggest switching the itinerary such that the two hardest hikes weren't back to back, but I enjoyed everything that we experienced. Hiking with such gorgeous surroundings is truly magical! There were lots of fun things included outside of hiking as well, including the winery tour with tapas and our paella night. I would heartily recommend the company and this particular adventure. 

This trip was so well organized!  We knew the plan for each day.  The accommodations were fantastic & the food was delicious.  The hikes were challenging but doable.  The scenery was gorgeous.  I would do this trip again and plan to do more with Fit4Adventure.

As an update, we scheduled another trip with Fit4Adventure.  Unfortunately, it was cancelled because not enough people booked the trip.  We hated to miss the trip but we certainly understand.  We had the choice of leaving the money as a credit or having it refunded.  Since we are unsure of our plans for next year we decided to have it refunded.  I emailed them late one afternoon & the refund was pending on my charge card that night.  Not 5-7 days like so many companies - that day!  We will definitely be going on more trips with them.  They are a class act!

Incredible location, amazing views, wonderful accommodations, great food, and awesome F4A guides!  The hikes will take you places that you can only see by doing it that way, via rocky paths and forest trails and along cliffs that are breathtaking. The astonishing beauty that is Mallorca is all around you and this trip makes the most of all of it. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time! So many great activities, beautiful scenery, amazing meals and making memories with new friends. Nick was a wonderful leader who always put our needs first and went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. We look forward to more adventures in the future! 

Costa Rica Multi-Sport Adventure 2023

The trip to Patagonia was an epic adventure!  The guides were knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Every place we stayed could not have been more perfectly located, cozy, and comfortable.  The restaurant selections were excellent - especially the focus on making sure that we got to sample and were aware of the local cuisine and customs. For the most part - all of these gourmet meals were included in the price of the trip. The guides did a good job of re-arranging the hiking schedule to accommodate the ever-changing weather conditions and making sure that everyone was ok with any changes.  The hikes themselves were incredible, and of course it is always nice to be with people who have been before and know what to expect.  I highly recommend this trip!

Patagonia

Thank you Fit4Adventure for this relaxing trip! Kris was a fantastic guide who was very organized and communicated well still being relaxed and fun. Having excursions organized with transit was a dream and we had so much fun at each of the events. It was wonderful to not have to be checking yelp reviews before trying to find a spot to eat! We loved staying at the Twin Fin and everyone in our group enjoyed the hospitality, the food, the rooms and proximity to the beach and shops. This was our first trip with Fit 4 Adventure and we can't wait to have another adventure with them again soon!

Honolulu Marathon

The trip of a lifetime. Guatemala was never a country that was on my must visit list but after one trip I find myself recommending it to friends and will be back myself. Marie and Michael were simply spectacular guides and their love for what they do and the country really shows. Even if you're not an avid hiker or coffee aficionado, the range of activities and experiences included makes this trip a must do. I will say the finale hike was difficult, but doable, and 1000% worth the effort. I would go on this trip again or others run by Fit4Adventure after this experience.

Guatemala wasn’t on the top of my list of places I thought I wanted to visit, but the adventures and coffee experience offered sounded interesting so we decided to go.  It was well worth it. The; Mayan ruins, coffee farms, bike ride, kayaking, lake district, shopping, food and volcano hike  were all fantastic and it turns out Guatemala is a very interesting and diverse place.  Highly recommend.

This trip was AWESOME!  Thanks to Kris Corbett, our trip was amazing.  Everything was perfect!  From transportation to and from the airport, to accomodations, to excursions - IT.  WAS. PERFECT!!!!!.  Looking forward to the next adventure thru Fit4Adventure and Kris.

My husband I had a terrific time!!!  Everything in the description of this hiking trip was true to form--accommodations (the Biniforani Nou Villa is gorgeous), hiking, shopping, and touring.  Hiking along the sea was a main attraction and we were not disappointed to say the least.  The views were breathtaking!  The Fit4Adventure team is accommodating with things that are possible in a group situation.  We had time together on the trail as a group and time apart in the little villages to shop and eat or to join and eat together.  It is a safe way to travel as a group, or with a few friends, or alone.  You can go alone knowing you are safe with this professional team of experienced hikers and travelers.  We were a small group of 15, and it was nice to meet adults of all ages from other states.  Some of the single ladies that met on this trip have already planned their next Fit4Adventure!  We'll be back too!

A wonderful way to experience Iceland and all it has to offer!! All I can say is I want to do it all over again!!! 

Iceland Adventures

I debated for months about whether to go on the Iceland trip or not. Once I finally committed, I looked forward to it with unabashed excitement. 
I am so glad that I decided to go. 
The hikes, waterfalls, kayaking, walking on glaciers, horseback riding (even with my rogue horse!) and being talked in to a cold plunge at the geothermal pool (of which I ended up doing four times as it was so exhilarating) made for a phenomenal trip. Joe, our guide, is a man of great patience, caring and concern. 
I’m sure I made him a bit nervous over my anxiety of getting to the airport with what I considered too little time but even that proved to be fine. 
Adding one day towards the end would alleviate a five hour van day which was a bit much. Other than that, I would highly recommend this adventure. 

This Alaska trip was amazing! The beauty of Alaska is fully enjoyed while you are hiking trails and glaciers , marveling at the sight of Denali,  biking, whitewater rafting, flying in float planes, kayaking amongst fjords, and enjoying great friendships along the way. A salute to guides Nick & Marie. They handled everything with ease. Looking forward to my next Fit 4 Adventure! Craig

Run Wild in Alaksa

Run Wild in Alaska was an absolutely epic adventure! There is literally nothing I would change on this 8 day trip!

Guides - Nick & Marie! The dynamic duo did everything for us in style. Each night we were given a text message on the following days agenda. Where to be. What to bring. How the day would play out, etc. It was perfect.

Lodging - Each place we stayed was lovely from the spectacular views at the Denali Overlook Inn in Talkeetna to the Exit Glacier Lodge in Seward!

Meals - I especially loved the home cooked meal by our guides Nick & Marie but every meal we had was amazing! At restaurants we tasted local dishes like Halibut and Salmon. We had many picnic lunches out on hikes which is my fave thing to do! 

Itinerary - When I think of what all we packed in my mind is blown. A float plane ride to a remote lodge and hiking. On to Denali for more hiking, class IV whitewater rafting on the Neenana River. Then biking the coastal trail in Anchorage. On the beautiful drive to Seward we were in awe of the majesty. But sitting in the van didn't last long as once we arrived we headed off on a boat ride and then kayaking amongst glaciers. After that we did a bike tour of the town of Seward! The next day we geared up and did a glacier hike that felt scary, exhilarating, and amazing! Our group had an extra day in Seward for the 4th of July! We chose to stay in town and enjoy all of the festivities including the Mount Marathon race. It was amazing!! We did our final hike the next day and played in the snow! If you read the itinerary it sounds like how can you pack all of this in? But Nick & Marie having all of the logistics in place made it effortless & seamless!

The Group - The friends we met on this trip were fun, interesting, kind, and easy to be with! It's just awesome to be with like minded adventurous people who love the outdoors and share their stories throughout the trip!

Well done Fit4Adventure! This was my second trip and I can only hope I get to do many more trips in the future!!

Wow…just wow. The adventures every day so we’re so unique from kayaking in icebergs to climbing a glacier to a floatplane ride to a private island to hike with families living off of the grid. These are experiences I will probably never do again. 

Nick and Marie were so professional and up for anything…no need was left unmet. The lodging was beautiful…the one overlooking Mt Denali was so incredible.  Really couldn’t have changed a thing.  The perfect amount of activity for active people.  

Thumbs up for folks looking for an adventure!!

This was an awesome trip.  All of the activities were provided with top notch guides.  Nick and Marie were fantasic!  They were willing to do anything make the trip flow with ease and fun.  Having a travel guide company that knows the in and outs and where to go and what to do is invaluable to having an awesome vacation.  Fit 4 Adventure rocks.  We will definately use them again and again.
