Senior Cycling provides active vacation multi-day bicycling tours, averaging 25-35 miles/day, primarily on Rail-Trails, for folks 50+ in scenic, interesting and fun locations around the United States and Canada
We enjoyed the trip and cycling the paths in Niagara Falls. Erie Canal trail was interesting but did not feel we had enough time to explore some of the small towns along the Canal. We thought the cycling in Rochester was great and our guide informative.
Accommodations and meals were very good.
My first trip with Senior Cycling, and I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the planning. Our originally scheduled guides could not make it, so we had Ned ("Da Boss") and Mike ("Friend of Da Boss") and they could not have been better company, better prepared, or better trip stewards. They used Ride with GPS software to keep us from getting lost, and provided our every need, including snacks, sunscreen and drinks/water to ensure our comfort. Our fellow cyclists were interesting people from all over USA and Canada. The hotel accommodations were top-notch, and the tour stops were all beautiful and interesting.

Overall a great experience, and I will definitely be going on more Senior Cycling trips.
We had a fun time. Distances and terrain were reasonable. Restaurants selections were good. The free time day allowed for a great tour of the sand dunes in Provincetown.
I booked as a solo traveler, as I usually do, and was fortunately able to get an extremely short, inexpensive Jet Blue flight from NYC to Hyannis.
The group of travelers from various states were great, the accommodations were fine. But a glitch by a hotel manager at the start of the trip had us doing two nights at different spots.
I especially loved the hotel in Provincetown, since we all had rooms with a balcony right on the water!
Now as for the cycling, I definitely found this tour more difficult than my Rhode Is. Senior Cyclists trip in 2024. There was far more riding on country roads, some without a shoulder and several routes were hilly.
In the past (I've been doing bike tours since 1984) I would have not minded, as I would have been on a light road bike with a "Granny Gear".
As a senior (80), I now seek trips that are heavily on bike paths or flat roads with a shoulder.
Think this tour should be listed a moderately difficult.
Possibly not an issue for those using E-Bikes, which I am not familiar or keen to use. I would rather do an easier tour.
The restaurants chosen by Ned & Mike were all great! And both leaders do their very best to accommodate everyone!
Senior Cyclists is a great group and my less than 5 star review is solely due to my finding the cycling on this trip more challenging.
Perfect biking weather… all trails were excellent- each one a little different. Ned & Mike were the best hosts! Lodging & food were top notch! I especially loved the pace of both biking & each day’s itinerary.
